Save the dates have arrived. Opinions please :-)

SaraPoppy, 31 October, 2014 at 16:00 Posted on Planning 0 8

Our save the date/evening cards have arrived. A little worried the evening cards are a bit misleading. We asked for wording to be changed after we saw the sample but the seller didn't change anything and sent them out as they were. Here's a flash...

We wanted the evening cards to say 'a special one evening only' instead of just the small print underneath. If you received this would you think it was an invite to the whole day and evening?

I've asked my bridesmaids and they have said it's confusing. I'm annoyed that they just ignored us and sent them anyway. If it wasn't possible to change they should have said. We have still got the email so hopefully they can do something about them!

No not at all! I wouldn't think about it as a whole day event. If I were confused of the time, I'd ask. Your save the dates are great! Smiley smile

Honestly if I received it I would think the day time. In my honest opinion I wouldn't send save the dates for evening guests. If you go them from ebay which I've seen them on I would open up a case or send them an email if you have asked them then they should of provided what you ask for or refunded you if they couldn't do it! Good luck

The evening part is very unclear. I have just emailed the seller. Hopefully they can do something about it. We are sending them to evening guests because we have rearranged the day to have them included in more parts. They won't be there for the ceremony or the meal but we are having a toasting hour so they will be there for the speeches, toasts and cake cutting. If the church held more than 60 people and the catering budget wasn't so expensive I would invite them to the whole day. I really wanted to involve them in more as it's a Sunday wedding and I'm worried people won't come just for a party with work then next day. Does that actually make sense? Haha!

I actually did not think it was unclear. It says evening invite to follow so I would know it was for evening only. However if you asked for a change you did not get what you paid for so i would complain.

The seller has kindly offered to refund the evening cards. I've asked if we can exchange them for something that clearly states 'save the evening' as there seems to have been a miscommunication rather than her just ignoring us :-)
