Scallops!

Cut a bit of a cross-hatch parrtern on them and sear very briefly and serve with lemon and salt. imo they need nothing more ? although they are lovely on black pudding as a canape too.

One more question. What do I do with the orange bit. Can you eat that. Whenver I have eaten them in a restaurant the orange bit has been taken off (the crown right?)

I'd always leave the coral tbh, given they cost about 50p each it seems silly to remove them unless you're going to do something else with them.

looks yummy... just decided to add this as a starter for our easter dinner ?

Sear in butter, salt and pepper then throw in some spinach to wilt and a touch of lemon juice. A firm favourite here ?
