schumacher not returning to F1

That's a real shame. He's been out of the sport long enough for me to have forgotten how boring it was with him winning all the time and I was looking forward to seeing him back in action for a short period. Still, not worth (literally!) risking his neck for it, it was quite an accident earlier in the year he had and the drivers need necks of steel!

The right decision I think.

He's been out of the loop for a couple of years and is that bit older - I don't believe his reflexes would be up to the job and he'd probably have caused an accident.

Giving a youngster the chance to prove himself is a step forwards.

The "youngster" replacing him is Luca Badoer- at 38 he's only 2 years younger than Schumey with a heck of a lot less experience! ?

I think he'd have done great, his reactions/skills when he was racing a few years back were so far ahead of the rest of the pack that a few years down the line he'd maybe have dropped to "equal" to them rather than light years ahead! It was also the PR that F1 desperately needed this season really.
