Monday morning (just!) musings...

What do you think the outcome will be?

What do you hope the outcome is?

What do you think about 16 year olds being allowed a vote in it?

What nationality are you?

Where do you currently live?

    I really hope it's a no.
I think it will be a no but I'm still worried.
I think it's wrong for 16 year olds to get the vote. That's not the constitution of this country. I dislike Alec Salmon in the extreme and think he is trying his best to skew it in his favour by letting a large chunk of teenagers with the Braveheart mentality vote.

I agree with TT on all those points.

    HAS to be a no.

I think it will be a yes

I'm as yet undecided about what I would like.... I'd like independance but I don't think Scotland is ready for it yet, however I worry that if we vote no Westminister will walk all over us.

I don't mind young people having a vote... They're allowed to make other decisions about their life at that age so why not the future of their country?? But not enough is being done to explain to them the consequences of their vote. But then again, neither party is giving a clear idea of what will happen after the vote.

People need to understant that it is a vote for independence and not a vote for a particular political party. I'm not a fan of Alex Salmond but Scottish Labour need to make more of an effort to tell us what they would plan post independance.

I'm Scottish and currently live in East Lothian.

I was also shocked to overhear a person I know respond with 'oh but you've got to gie them a chance'
Eh no!! You don't 'give them a chance' there's no coming back from it if it's shite! (When it's realised that no, we won't be rich from oil after all as it's not ours) Very worrying indeed. And that was a fully grown adult in her 40's

Worrying, isn't it? I've not met anyone who thinks it should be a yes, apart from MF's dad who only wants it "To see the mess, then I'll be dead!"

I'm English but my Father is Scottish and moved back some years ago. One of my Brothers lives in Scotland and is therefore eligible to vote. I don't know anyone in Scotland who wants independence, but I know several who are currently living in England who think that it's a good idea and are eligible to vote. I'm quite worried for my family if the vote does go for Independence.

I can't guess what the outcome will be: the whole thing seems bonkers but when has that ever stopped people making the wrong choice?

What do you think the outcome will be? I don't know any Scottish people other than our lovely Scottish on here so its hard for me to judge. I don't like to form opinions based on what I read in the media but if I weere to I would say No.

What do you hope the outcome is? I hope the Scotland is happy with whatever the outcome is.

What do you think about 16 year olds being allowed a vote in it? Will many 16 year old get off their backsides to vote? I dont think I would have bothered at that age and if I did it probably would not have been a particularly informed vote.

    What nationality are you?

    Where do you currently live?

I consider myself to be 100% English I dont know any of my immediate or distant blood relatives to be anything other than English. I currently live in England.

I really hope its a no!! Roping 16 year olds into vote is just a terrible (not so) sneaky way to get yes votes because they dont have a clue (i know a 17 year old who is very excited to vote yes-she has no clue!)

Someone just asked me all these questions earlier on today as it happens.

I think it will be no - but only just

    I hope it's no

I think it's a tricksy move on the part of the SNP getting 16 and 17 year old's to vote to try and sway the outcome. At that age I'd have voted yes but I wouldn't now.

    I'm Scottish

    I currently live in England

    Outcome: Yes.

    Hope for outcome: No.

16 year olds voting: Desperate attempt to appeal to the egos of the young and foolhardy into being part of a seminal moment in Scotland's history.

    I am British.

    I live in the UK.

What do you think the outcome will be? At the moment no, but I think a lot could change before September.

What do you hope the outcome is? I used to be a firm no but I'm actually now swaying to yes. I'm not anti-British, I'm just fed up being dictated to by a government we didn't vote for. I'm not a fan of the SNP but we need to think of the bigger picture, it's not a vote for Alex Salmond. I don't think we're going to become stupidly rich from oil but it will give us a chance to change things to become more in line with the majority of Scottish voters. I'm also very pro-Europe and I'm worried that staying in Britain could mean leaving Europe if David Cameron and UKIP get their way. Also, The Queen will still be our Head of State so a yes vote doesn't fully mean the end to "being British".

What do you think about 16 year olds being allowed a vote in it? I firmly believe they should have the vote UK wide. If the government thinks they are old enough to pay tax, join the army and be kicked out of their home then they should have a say in the issues that affect them. The daft wee 16 year olds who don't care about politics won't bother to vote, just the same as older people don't bother.

    What nationality are you? British

Where do you currently live? Glasgow

ETA - one of the biggest reasons I'm moving away from a no vote is because I've yet to hear a good reason why we should stay. The Yes campaign is based entirely on scaremongering and what ifs rather than focusing on the positives of staying in the UK.

What do you think the outcome will be?

    Too close to call

What do you hope the outcome is?

Big fat NO! The YES brigade are quite forceful up here and just irritate people to be honest. Too much to think about and we will end up worse off financially.

What do you think about 16 year olds being allowed a vote in it?

I believe wee Eck only allowed this to sway the vote which I do not agree with at all. Should not have been allowed until after the referendum. I also do not think that those no longer living in Scotland (i.e. those who have moved away permanently) should be included.

    What nationality are you?

    British

    Where do you currently live?

    North Scotland
