Searching for country house hotel in Sussex

Hi everyone!

Can anyone recommend a country hotel in Sussex that doesn't charge a fortune? Wedding will be in Sussex (H2B and family from there) but I'm not very familiar with the area (yet!), so if possible I'd like to line up 3 or 4 venues and then drive down to visit in one go.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I am having mine at Pelham House in Lewes and I got a deal for 6915 for ceremony, food (wedding breakfast and evening buffet), reception cocktails, canapes, 22 free bedrooms including bridal suite, chair covers for 70 guests and you can add more. There is also Newick park near Lewes which is a big country house and they do special deals too and it is beautiful.
