Secret Desires

Meltdown, 16 August, 2013 at 13:36 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 22

Not in the kinky sence, but what do you wish you had experianced or recieved but you never have and cant ask for?

For example. I have never been sent flowers to work by a boyfriend for no reason. I have been given flowers for a birthday but I have a secret desire to be sent some for no reason other than he was thinking of me. and I want them to be sent by a lady in a van.

I used to work with a girl whose manfriend would regularly send flowers and other gifts to her at work. It made me horribly jealous (plus I was going through a divorce at the time so it was like salt in the wound.)

What about you?

I think I'd die of embarrassment if a boyfriend sent flowers and stuff to my place of work!

I've never been whisked away for a romantic weekend! Bit tricky with a hoard of kids to find babysitters for, but I do daydream about going away somewhere pretty and remote with H for a lovely weekend.

I wish my OH would get in a fight to defend my honour. He NEVER stands up for my point of view. I have this girly, chivalrous fantasy that someone is being mean to me and he rides in on a white horse and fights them (he doesn't always win.... ?)

Bless him. He's just not a very 'manly' man! But sometimes, I do wish he'd take some decisive, manly action!

I agree with being whisked away for a surprise weekend in a romantic city. I can't think of any others.

Wish H would pay me the odd compliment. If ever we go out and I’ve made a real effort he’ll never say I look nice. I’ll have to ask him “do I look ok” and he’ll say that I look fine without actually looking at me. The closest I get is, your bum looks good in those…. Not exactly the compliment I hoped for.

Mum and Dad have been married 34 years and my Dad always tells my Mum how lovely she looks, the other week I was home and he told me of a dress mum had bought for a Christening they were going to, and he told me she looked beautiful in it. Bless him, even after all those years. I might tell him to have a quiet word with H ha!

Oh a weekend away, I hadnt even considered that, now i want that too!

OH did defend me in a pub arguement (me and a stroppy mare, not me and him)

As a self confessed repressed northern man (his words not mine) I understand that , "You'll do" is actually a massive compliment!

Ah, now H does stand up for me. Mainly to his mother and her near constant stream of snide comments about me. ?

Ha, YES! I get "Crikey, that makes your cans look enormous!" from time to time, but that's the nearest to a compliment I ever get!

It's my own fault though. I used to lay into people for telling me I look nice- as I had (still have) major body hangups and would tell them they were wrong and being patronising- but I'm not so bad now and the odd compliment from OH *would* be nice! He's not very demonstrative though.

My hubby sent flowers to me at work for no reason. It was sweet but very embarrassing, the lovely year 10s I was teaching at the time made me ring him there and then and all chanted 'thank you Mr E' down the phone ?

He has also taken me for weekends away, offers spa trips and shopping etc. I am very lucky (or so awesome/gold diggerish he feels he needs to keep on plying me with things and gestures). I don't usually think of him as a romancer but I suppose he is!

I don't think I have any secret desires.

I'd hate this. Luckily my hubby is intelligent, so would always win a 'fight' on wit alone. haha.

H is very thoughtful and romantic. I do secretly wish he would tell his parents where to go though, and that just pretending like I don't exist is not acceptable.

He does stand up for me in other contexts - the only time I've ever seen him shout and get really angry was when a dog chased me down in the forest, and he went mad at the owner. It was very romantic!!

Ooh, Enterflora. I couldn't think of anything, but that's reminded me.

I wish my parents acted like (other people's?) parents. They're emotionally stunted, never affectionate, and never interested in spending time with us or our kids (unless it's very much on their terms).

I take it back about H being a romantic. It's his birthday today so we're going out for dinner. I put on a nice dress, did my hair, make up etc. H took one look at me and said "what a pair of tits you have".

Well I really wish my OH would record me a text message saying "baby, you got a text"...

Haha, no he's really good to me and buys me flowers / nice perfume / some random new clothes etc and booked me in for a nice spa day *once* ..wish he'd do that again, most relaxed I've ever been haha.

I do wish he'd stick up for me more with his stupid mother and auntie, that's about all. He'd stick up for me with anyone else but is so slow when it comes to his family which is annoying!

I wish my OH was just a bit more affectionate in general. There's nothing sinister in the fact he isn't and I love him immensely but I just wish he was a bit more cuddly if you know what I mean.

Makes me feel a bit jealous of girls whose boyfriends are really affectionate as cuddly etc for no reason/not after something!!

I'd love a weekend away. H also isn't very good at compliments, even when I've dressed up nicely. Apparently I should know he thinks I'm 'fit' and he shouldn't need to tell me.

More romance would always be a nice thing but that's just not Mr Penguin and he can be very good at it, sometimes.

I have always wanted to have someone at the airport in a suit and hat greet me with one of those name boards when I arrive, I'm not sure why. A few years ago while in Cambodia with a friend we had a man on a tuk tuk greet us with a soggy bit of paper with our names on it, sort of. My friend I was with was names as Mrs Luck (her name is Lucy), I think that's the closest I'll ever get.

Word can't explain everything well. Some times view or heart can say everything. We should try to understand language of heart, it would be more better.

I would like a bit more affection and cuddles. I would also like a weekend away but as MrMini earns peanuts I am always the one paying.

Hmm this is tricky. My H is pretty good to me really so I think I'd like a better relationship with my in laws.

They aren't awful but after various things my FIL just does my head in and I struggle to spend time with him which isn't really fair on my h. My MIL has got a ridiculous boyfriend so we don't spend much time with her either.

I wish I had a functional family, screwed up doesn't even describe my lot. OH is very cute, during one bad patch with my family last year he pointed out that he is my family now and I know that at least *our family* will be nice and stable.
