Self indulgent "Eeeeeeeeck" & a FLASH

Nik_Nak, 6 September, 2012 at 23:01 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 13

This is totally random so apologies in advance but I am still buzzing from a tandem skydive for the "Forces Support" charity today ? I was surprisingly calm before the jump, even when I was dangling out of the plane at 10,000ft and then we freefalled...amazing, amazing, AMAZING!!! The descent was breath taking and it included 2 airgasms too which were induced by 2 corkscrews ? Anyway, if anyone is considering doing a tandem skydive, I can not recommend it enough...you don't get the horrible feeling of your stomach in your mouth when you come out of the plane because you have a cushion of air supporting you and the buzz is priceless.

Congratulations! I'm really scared of heights and can't imagine anything more terrifying but it sounds amazing!

    Well done!

I've did a solo jump a few years back for charity.

We jumped from 5000feet with a line attached to the plane which basically pulled your chute for you as you fell away from the plane. Unfortunately it means there was no real freefall, the chute was open within seconds. Still an amazing feeling ! I don't think I've ever felt fear like it when I was shuffled along to the open door and hanging out ready to jump. Genuine terror, the jump was so worth it though. As soon as I landed I wanted to go again!

Thanks guys ? The only downside was that I got a major post adrenaline slump 30 minutes afterwards - I felt soooooooooo sick. Thankfully it passed after an hour. Fergo - wow, I don't think I'd be brave enough to do a static line jump...no instructor, just yourself, scary stuff!!! Kjay - you should definately give it a go, it's awesome!!!
