Hmm, usually I'd say send them as early as you want, but 3 years is probably too early. I think 18 months would be the earliest, and even then I'm waiting to the 1 year mark to send mine. I know it's exciting, but hold off a bit!

Im sending mine out upto 18 months ahead, maybe a little less. Then invites about 8 months ahead due to it being bank hol.

3 years is a little to far in advance, 99% of people will lose them and no one will have a diary to write the date in so they won't even beable to save the date! im not sending mine till 11-12 months before, its killing me holding off sending them but as its sept next year no one really cares yet!

keep your wedding brain busy by being on here and looking on wedding sites for ideas and try and hold back on setting anything in stone

We sent ours about 15 months in advance because people just kept on asking us, plus it will be in peak holiday time. In the end it didn't matter because only a very few family members have kept hold of them and even OH's sisters forgot our date and nearly a booked a holiday! So in the end they have been fairly useless in our case.

I haven't bothered with them- just emailed or told people by word of mouth, we have let people know our date- so was probs about 19 months in advance because it is a friday in the middle of August when people might be booking holidays, and because some people will have to take time off work.
