I'm a september 2012 bride

I've sorted the church, the venue, the DJ, the dress, but i'm at a freeze with flowers and bridesmaid dresses, and I really want a 'theme' but I'm not sure what, I just feel I need something to tie it all together. My photographers pencilled in, and my cakes getting sorted by a friend,

I'm currently in the stages of doing my own designs for invites & stationery so this should be fun i just know I'll have forgettn a few things! x

i have my venue, registrar, caterer, photographer, dress, dj but not sure what else i can do just now as its still a while away

It's difficult because it is still quite far away - but i tihnk the more i can do earlier, I can then have a few stress free months in the lead up! wahey! x

Hello date twin ? You both seem to have loads done already!! We've paid part of our deposit for our venue, as we can only book our registra until exactly a year before the date, so feel kinda in limbo until then.

What i've done so far is:

Chosen venue

Have a shortlist for a florist

Decided on wedding cupcake lady

Chosen my bridesmaids

Booked TOG (1 of my bm's husband, soo excited)

Decided on some colours Sage green, Charcoal grey and Ivory

Yeah I'm in the same boat, although everyone keeps mentioning how organised I am! Venue's deposit is paid, dates booked at the church, BM & MOH hav been chosen, dress is bought, favours have been decided, colour scheme done, transport done (but needs paying for) TOG done (a friend from work) cake done (a friend of a friend as a gift!)

I just need to start on the things that I can do myself like stationery and favours excited already! xx

We are getting married on 1st September 2012.

We have sorted:

My dress, cake, venue, church, harpist, entertainment, chosen bridal party and potentially chosen our honeymoon.

Going to a wedding fair in MK Dons stadium next weekend so hopefully will find some invitations; i dont know if I can do anything else yet?! Got to wait till next year for BM dresses.

I have looked at dresses, narrowed down to 2, will be going back soon to decide which one. I have also looked at venue dressing and flowers but still undecided who to go with.Cars - im leaving up to OH. We possibly have his parents vw bus, but also not confirmed yet!

Still plenty more to do!!

Its coming around so quick! I feel like I should be doing more. Its sort of come to a stand still!

Booked venue, dress due in a few weeks (eeee!!), TOG booked, registrar booked, car sorted, emailed VOG today, seen BM's dresses but gotta check my dress 1st to see if they'll look okay and not too similar in colour.

Think thats about it! I'd love to get on with some more planning!

I did some samples of styles for our stationery and will be printing them out and showing the OH & our families and getting ideas and thoughts exciting!

and my posh wedding planner file came through yesterday so will hhave fun tonight filling it in! x

You've got so much organised! I wish I could make my own invitations but I am usless with crafty things, you will have to flash some pics for us when you've made them. ?

I love filling out my wedding planner, I have that and a lever arch file!! Keep trying to find reasons to check through and add things to them ?

Im excited to, though I think a bit to much maybe as I just looked at your ticker and my stomach did a bit of a flip!!

I'm a September bride :-) getting hitched 8th September abroad. Had my dress fitting on the weekend, got my shoes, had my hair trial need to get my make up sorted. Going to start making the bridesmaids wrist corsages tonight.

Partner has decided he doesn't want to wear a suit as he thinks it will be too warm so he's gone and bought himself a white linen shirt, beige linen trousers and leather flip flops so now I'm going to feel way overdressed!

Selling my gorgeous tiara now as I'm going for a flower in the hair - bit late to change my dress now!

Little Ri - I know, I'm a bit over organised I tihnk! I've flashed the invites to put them up for a vote in a post this morning, you should check them out I have that planner and a scrapbook that I've been filling and sticking for the last few weeks, haha.

We're getting married in a little church in luddenden village, my mum's ashes in the the garden of memorial there, so it's a fitting place for me, as I think it's an event that she would have been next to me at. We're then having our reception at a hotel call The Rock, in a little village called Holywell Green near Halifax, not too far from our church i can't wait!

I am getting married on 22nd September 2012 and going for Fawsley Hall with exclusive use of the whole venue. Isn't it a fabulous place?! I was just wondering how you have found Fawsley Hall to be in terms of service and whatnot? I have had a few concerns but I am wondering whether I am worrying for nothing!

Hello all! I'm September too - the 16th. I've just got stuck into the planning so far booked venue, bought my dress and shoes at the weekend. Booked cake no 1 and my table center pieces just arrived this morning. Have chosen TOG and am paying the deposit today/tomorrow. Got a date with the registrar to give notice. Have decided on favours.

I'm 8th September - Septemberbride, we're date twins

Booked the venue 3 months ago, the registrar last month, and then it all seemed to go a bit quiet on the planning front. Have had a bit of a burst of wedding planning the last couple of weeks though - DJ and chair covers sorted, booked appointments for my dress and the bridesmaids dresses, found a cake lady, spoken to some photographers and got some honeymoon ideas.

Think it was the wedding fayre we went to that really spurred us into action. Now I'm getting into the planning, I'm getting really excited about it!!

Wooo! I'm 22 September 2012. I've been waiting for a September thread to surface so I can see what you guys are all up to.

I haven't done much at all. We've provisionally booked the registrar (have to go and do the official notice thing before the end of Nov to confirm the booking) and provisionally booked the venue for the ceremony. Looking at it next weekend and will then confirm the booking.

I'm not really planning to do any big organisation (once the venue & legal stuff is confirmed) until after Christmas, but it'll only be a small do so I'm hoping this is ok timeline wise.

I've seen the dress I want, but waiting to see if there will be a January sale! I'm determined to save as much money as I can!

I have barely confirmed my venue! I think I am way behind judging on the progress above! Eeek!

I think I am way behind too!!! getting married on 1st September next year. We have just booked the church and reception venue and are not trying to find a photographer and get transport sorted. I'm starting to look at wedding dresses in November

I'm getting married on the 14th September next year.

So far we have organised Venue, Given notice @ registry office and booked registrar, booked honeymoon, photographer, found my dress (but not ordered) set out save the dates, sorted DJ and entertainment.

Really getting into the planning now though and getting excited already!

Ahh its nice to see some other 22 September brides!! ? We too have a had a spurt of planning due to the wedding fayre at our venue recently... currently working on getting the florist and cars booked. Its all coming together noe, after spending the past 18 months playing around with different ideas, its now time to choose and book!! Im so excited!!

Wow, looks like it's all starting to come together now for us all. Getting quite excited now and can't believe it's a little over 10 months away!!! Ekk

Hi Bethie - We're thinking of the Maldives too. Hadn't really thought about it until the girl at Kuoni showed it to us and we were pretty blown away

Hello fellow September brides!

I'm quite laid back and not really planning to do much before Christmas but I'm a little bit excited as we have booked our venue and are going to give notice on Friday! I know there is so much more to do but I guess these are the most important things - the rest is all fluff but still WOooooooooooooo!

Maldives will be lovely, my god parents went there for their honeymoon and its looked amazing!!

I am leaving the honeymoon in the capable(!) hands of OH. We'd love to go to NZ and Australia, and he would like to take me to Fiji - hes been before and cant wait to go back. So as its going to be an expensive trip we will save up for that after the wedding, as there is no way we'd be able to do the wedding and a big trip so close together. So we are looking at somewhere a bit closer, canaries or somewhere in europe. I just want heat!! ha. End of september will be a struggle i know! Then we plan to do our big trip around our one year anniversary. We have friends and family coming over from Aus and NZ for our wedding, so it would be great to visit them while they are at home and not miss them when they are back in the UK.
