September 2012 Brides... How are we doing?

We've just really got the paying to do haha. The men have been measured for their suits, the hen/stag dos are booked, intact we haven't yet got our rings. We are deciding menu hater this month and having a one to one with the vicar this month too.

I though I was doing ok.

I've got the following left to do: Go round and pay everyone final amounts, sort underwear for me and daughters, shoes for little BM's (early September task, sort ceromony its booked just don't know songs etc), cufflinks, finalise table plan, BM's dress fittings (the dresses arrived this week!), final fitting for suits in August, tealight holder for table, Final meeting with venue is 6 weeks before.

I got a bit nervous this weekend, worried about walking down the aisle and some other bits. Think it is really hitting home now. Can't wait but just hope I don't get in a state!

I need to get my BMs together for a final fitting at some point, but apart from the other bits I stated before, we are pretty much done!!! YAY! (sorry mini excitement burst there!)

After reading this, I have realised I have more to do than I originally thought!! I also have to sort underwear, FG's shoes, agree on all the ceremony & reception songs, cufflinks, table plan, centerpieces. Oh s**t! I thought I was organised!! Better get my butt in gear me thinks!!

Thats it isn't it though, all the little fiddly bits left to do. The boys will have their final suit fittings soon. I've bought my BMs dresses from Coast and they all fit them lovely. We are making the table plan.

It's ok we will all get there! Keep going through my wedding bible and checking what I have left to do. I keep thinking I have forgotten something but as it is a package most of it we (well I) just had to pick but with all the different suppliers so still had to do the rounds.

Can't wait to see the BM dress in our colour! It the biggest bit of colour and Petrol Blue is so hard to match.

Going to keep my eye on this just in case I have missed something.

I have to buy my underwear, get dress altered, get my bouquet sorted, few more decs to buy, maybe, and groom to buy his suit. Also have my hen do to properly sort. Have ideas for it, but need to confimr and sort guests. Think thats about it. Oh and sort people to drive mine and h2b cars to and us to venues.

I too have little bits to sort ie; poem cards and little pressies for bm's and pageboys, buy the parents presents, first dress fitting isn't until August!!!! BM's shoes and sort a honeymoon, wait for evening guest replies, order name cards and table plan, but think that's it, although probably missed a few bits out. Time is flying ?

Just the small matter of finding a venue for us...

Got to buy last bits for the favours and make them up

Write and send evening invitations

Choose our music so I can fill out registrar's form and send it back

Have my dress fitting (which is booked for 20/07)

Have final hair and initial make-up trials

Create a wedding post box

Create table plan and place cards once all RSVPs are back!

Order loads of bits and pieces for venue decor and gifts

Finalise venue decor

Get my ER re-dipped and cleaned

Groomsmen need to go for a suit fitting

Have final consultations with cake-maker, florist and venue

Pay for EVERYTHING!!

Oh IshouldCoco I am really sorry to hear that, I have just read your other post and to be honest I really can't blame you! I am afraid I am not near Liverpool so can't be much help with venues, I just wanted to give you a little support! When me and OH first started looking in Jan for our Sept wedding we had a lot of offers from venues wanting to fill some of their dates and at very very reasonable prices, there will be a lovely venue out there with your names on it I am sure. Good luck and let us know how you get on! ? xx

We have quite a few things left to do, but it all seems to be coming around quickly now. We are getting married on 2nd September.

- Rings (I am planning to do this over the next couple of weekends)

- Food tasting at the venue (26 June)

- choose readings/songs for ceremony

- Pay rest of rest of registrar fees (by 6th July)

- Dress fitting/bridesmaids fittings (28 July)

- Menu cards/order of service/place cards/table plan still to do

- choose background music for wedding breakfast (OH has started compiling this)

- Gifts for Bridesmaids/Best Man/Parents

- Buy some more sweets for the sweet buffet

- Confirm flowers

- Meet DJ

- Pre-wedding photo shoot

- Immunisations for honeymoon.

- First dance lessons (start middle of July)

Plus the other things that I cannot think of!!!

it really does look like a long list when you start writing it down arrrggggghhhhhh!!!!

I'm a 1st Sept Bride and have soo much to do, i'm not going to write it down as i think it will freak me out way too much. Hopefully in the next week or so, i may be on top of a few more things! Doesn't help that we're having flat problems, so also have been contacting builders etc!

I'm a bit like LittleMissP..I've thought of responding to this thread before but the thought of writing down my to-do list has put me off!! There's still tons to do & make! Everything is booked though & we'll get there but isn't time flying!! I wish I was a more organised person. I am excited though.

I have so much more to do than you guys, I still haven't sent my invitations out ?

..........just between me and you, neither have I! They are nearly done though, does that count? ?

Haha mine too, we made them 2 weeks ago so I just need to write the names and addresses, just haven't got round to it yet. I have to send them out by the weekend as I've set the RSVP date to 8th July....

We've sent out the daytime ones but evening invitations not even printed yet!!!!!!!
