Me! Venues booked, dress bought, bridesmaid dress also bought. TOG organised, centrepieces being handmade for me. Decs organised for reception and invitations designed! Hoping to get started on making the invites in the next couple of weeks. I'm also making my own photo album as a scrapbook with pages of mood boards and initial thoughts to be followed up by actual photos so I've made a start on that. Trying to organise cake and find out whether the budget allows for cars!!

How soon are you sending out invitations?

Not til six months before. We're not bothering with save the dates as all those coming to the ceremony already know when it is, so I feel quite relaxed!

We just celebrated our 1 year to go! We're already quite far into planning as we had to book our venue 2 years in advance!! Have a photographer, caterer, cake maker, DJ, florist all booked and we've just instructed a stationery company to start designing our invites

We're facing an added challenge of planning from abroad though as we're currently living in New Zealand. We're back to visit at Christmas so will go outfit shopping then and visit the venue to plan all the decorations. Very excited!

Its my year to go today and its going so quick

so far i have my venue, photographer, hair and make up booked my cake lady is sketching up final plans and will hopefully have that set in stone in the next couple of weeks

i also have my save the dates and the supplies for my invites and that's it so far ....

I have now booked a photographer and got flower girl dresses! X

We've got our venue, dj, my tog is my wedding tog step brother, i've got my dress, some potential bridesmaids dresses, my fsil is making the cake and I'm making my flowers and centerpieces. Next job is getting started on my invites after xmas. We've just put an offer on a new house today so wedding planning will have to take a back seat for a couple months I think

I've booked my venue ahd registry office, started making the bouquets and picked out my dress, bridesmaids dresses, shoes, accessories etc. Still looking at photographers and Djs etc. It feels like we have ages but I net it'll go fast!

I'm getting married on 4th October 2014 and I have got anything done apart from bridesmaid dresses and suits! Invites will go out in Feb/March time.

I too have only just moved house 6 weeks ago and the wedding does have to take a step back to allow for that.

I am marrying in Lindos on 4th September and have so far booked venue and reception. We sent out STD cards quite a while ago so people can book time off work if needed.

My smallest bridesmaid (aged 9) has her dress so am hoping it will still fit and my other 2 bridesmaids have been given free rein with any dress from Maids to Measure as long as it is navy blue. They have to choose their styles by Easter so we can order in samples to my dress shop for them to try. It's a tight deadline but they both live miles away.

My dress is ordered and that's about it. I am limited by the amount of stuff I can transport over there but my wedding planner has a really good eshop for picking flowers, table decorations and the order for that needs to be done by February.

My invitations are going to be personally picked 7 inch vinyl singles with our own designed record sleeve. I am currently madly bidding on all sorts of records on eBay which is quite fun and then will need to harass h2b to help me with the design.

I thought I was organised but many of you have done so much more then me!

We have set aside tomorrow to do our stationery, Nick (my h2b is a graphic designer so he's doing them)

Don't worry whitewine there's still plenty of time. You've got a lot of the big stuff sorted with the Church, Venue and Photography. Have you booked some dress shopping appointments? Once you've got that sorted maybe try and nail down a colour scheme to help decide on your bridesmaids dresses, I found that then really helped with deciding on flowers, invites and a kind of theme. I'm very much like you with 100s of pinterest ideas ?

Im planning to look at dresses this weekend then hopefully that will help me decide what style im going for

I'm 6th September (feels really close!!). Most of the things are sorted apart from last minute bits. We're marrying abroad so lots of things we need to do out there.

Dress, venue, priest, flowers, shoes etc all done.

Need to sort out BM's and OH's suit. My MOH gets married in May so want to wait for her to have her day before sorting BM dresses and OH wants to lose some weight.

Currently making fabric hearts for pew ends and bunting. Plus making some felt dolls for flower girl presents.

Love it. it's keeping me busy!

Hi we are 5th September. Booked venues, registrar and given notice so far. Just started making the invites and looking at rings. We pretty much know what we want for everything, just need to get on with it!

I have sorted church, reception venue, marquee, caterers, wedding car, photographer, DJ, cake, have ordered my dress eeek!!

Day invites are made, just need to print the rsvps and info sheet to go with them then they'll be going out in February. Then I can start on the evening ones lol.

In the middle of getting quotes for flowers but know exactly what I want which is a start lol.

BM dresses will be purchased end of this week once a cheque clears and skint from xmas lol.

Hi All

we're 7th September (Ketu53 you're my date twin!). We only booked our venue a week ago (a week; where has that time gone??) so the only other things checked off the list are the Registrar and my dress.

i actually got my dress before we booked the venue as I knew it would take a while to find. We had a pleasant surprise with the Registrar as they said we could have whatever time we wanted so luckily we have our venues recommended time.

Next things are a photographer, invitations, flowers, bridesmaid dresses. I have a way to go to catch up with the rest of you, wish me luck!

Eek! We're getting married on the 27th September. We only got engaged in January, but have brought the wedding forward to make sure my grandparents can be there with us. Trying to stay calm, I've tried to get as much done as I can now so that I can relax a bit more in the lead up and worry about fine details!

I'm another 7th September Wedding.

Can't believe it's less that 6 months to go. Had the venue booked for over 18 months. Everything is booked and the majority is paid for. The two biggies we have left is the suits and the wedding rings.

Sending out our first load of "day invites" tomorrow. So excited!!!

How's everyones planning going?

I am gonna make a start on invites soon, most big bits sorted but starting to panic a little!

Finishing the invites are the next on our list as well. Most the big bits are sorted for us too oh needs to go and organise the suits next weekend. Feels like its coming around so quickly now doesn't it?!

Just looked through this thread......It looks like the first weekend in September is going to be busy! How is your planning going?

I had a similar issue with my mum, she kept asking us to invite people. I had to put my foot down in the end and limited the amount of people and who came for which bit of the day. Don't lose sight of the fact that ultimately it is your day.

Sounds like the rest of the planning is going well though!
