I wanted to wait for official pics for thank yous but still have another 5 weeks to wait - is that too long?

How are those of you changing your name getting on? Seems like so much to change!

*squee squeeee squeeee* Got most of the photos from our TOG today (8 weeks to the day after the wedding - feels so long ago!). I love them all, but still haven't seen all of them (like the family portrait type ones) but here are a few favourites (hmmm, looks like he's uploaded to his blog two at a time and I can't be bothered to download and crop just the ones I want, so you're getting lots!):

Sorry, may have got slightly carried away there. Our dog totally stole the show though, right?

Loving the flashes! Such beautiful photos.

My post-wedding admin has fallen off a cliff! We got our photos last week and I still haven't sorted the thank you cards, although they are ready to be ordered from vista print.

Still need to get my dress cleaned and do my report. Our wedding video arrived in the post yesterday and it was just what I needed to cheer myself up after a rubbish journey home from work.

I haven't even started the change of name process yet. I need to do a change of name deed and the list of organisations to tell seems endless!

Maybe Shamy hasn't just taken her husband's surname and needs to change her/his name by deedpoll.

Wow Bekkijane your report is an amazing story (with pictures, the best kind!). Looks like you had a wonderful time. I'm not convinced I'm ever going to get round to doing a proper report. We leave for honeymoon in 28 days which is super exciting, but I have soooo much going on at work at the the moment so the days are just running away with me. Glad you like the pics I posted though!

I'm getting desperate to get my photos! I bought albums before the wedding for my family, but the vouchers run out on wednesday and my photos still aren't here. She said she'd send them this week, I emailed again thursday and she said she'd get them sent out on friday, but she hasn't told me if she has, argh! They're gonna be signed for too, so if they come on monday I might not have a chance to collect them, and any later than that it'll be too late :-(

Hi sweetie! I've missed you guys :-) I was on the phone to my brother last night and said it was 7 and a half weeks ago, which doesn't sound like anything, but it feels like so long ago! We have our photos now but not our album, so that makes it feel like its being dragged out a bit too. I've really got to get round to changing my name on everything too, I must admit I havent been able to face it yet, too much to do! Are you all looking forward to being a wife this christmas? Can't wait for the first wife christmas card! I never got a fiance one as he asked me the day before my birthday, but had bought a to the one I love card, I think that was in case he bottled it! Haha.

Drag it out as long as possible i say! haha!!

I've changed my name on all the important bits (bank/driving license etc) but there's still lots of stragglers to do and i can't remember them all till they come up - only changed my amazon account yesterday.

I changed my name at the Doctors the other day, and when i logged online afterwards it says Miss H, Being Mrs H was the bit i was unsure about (as that's his mum lol!) but i felt quite put out haha!!

I had a Fiance card last year, this year i had a girlfriend card, my birthday was a week before the wedding and he got no end of grief about it from friends and family but he says the fiance ones in the shop were pants!! i won't let him get away with that at Christmas though!!

It was his birthday last week and i loved buying his Husband card, and have got his christmas card already cos i just love it!!

We went out for a family meal the other week and he was outside and i told the waitress i was waiting for my husband - still doesn't sound real!! so in that sense definitely don't feel like its been a long time!

To be honest, I don't feel that much has changed really - except that I am now Mrs A instead of Mrs P!!! We already lived together and we didn't have a honeymoon, so it kind of feels like we had a big party and that was that.

Don't get me wrong, I loved becoming Mrs A and I enjoyed changing my name on everything but...maybe it's just the post-wedding blues, but I can't get excited over it.

I feel the same, we didn't have a honeymoon or anything, and I don't feel anything has changed, but maybe that is a good thing!

Still haven't changed my name on everything yet, done a few things, really need to get to the bank to do it but they are open only during the hours I am at work so that's really convenient!

It's funny, I do feel different, but H doesn't. I think that's the name change though, now I'm Mrs S, and people at work are really sweet and always refer to me as that so I get reminded! My family like it too. I've changed my bank account (our bank is open at weekends) and we opened a joint savings account at the same time which is lovely, now not only do we have a day to day joint account, we're also saving together. I've requested the form for my driving licence, obviously I had the joys of changing my passport before the wedding, but it's all the bills that are going to be a pain! They are all in my name coming out of my bank account. So not only do I need to change my name, we want to change them over to our joint account too, but I know that's gonna be a pain in the bum!

As (I think) the first September bride my wedding feels an absolute age ago - I was counting the weeks up until about 6 weeks after, but now I have no idea (just checked, 11 weeks today!). I don't really "feel" any different as nothing in our lives has changed - we've lived together for 10 years, have always had a joint account, mortgage etc so the only thing that has changed is my surname, and I'm now a Mrs. This is the weirdest bit; having to sign letters or tick boxes as Mrs - it makes me feel a lot more grown up!

I managed to change my name fairly easily on the vast majority of things but haven't yet done my passport or driving license; we go on honeymoon a week on Friday (YAY!) and I've been travelling with work so didn't have any time gap to send my passport off. We've also got a hire car that we booked in my name before the wedding, as I get a corporate discount, so had to leave my driving license in that name too. Fortunately the one bank card that hasn't been changed is my credit card which I also used for the hire car as I think the names have to match up - I had a minor panic about this yesterday but then realised the bank hadn't sent me a replacement credit card, only debit.

I sent our most of our thank you cards yesterday having had the photos back a few weeks ago. Still need to do the supplier thank you's, so that's a job for the next few evenings. Also putting together big picture frames for our parents so have been spending ages ordering prints.

I'm so looking forward to going on honeymoon - hoping we'll slip back into that newlywed feeling (just without the tears - for some reason the 2 days after the wedding I kept crying at anything nice, like reading the cards or when we arrived home and my sister had decorated our flat).

8 weeks today for us. I sent messages with photos to our suppliers this week but I forgot one, the car! We received our albums that I made up for the family this week too, they're lovely. and i've got a gorgeous print of one of our beach hut photos on wood, which is great. I just want to fill the house with photos but I don't think H would be happy about that! Haha.

Beccak, I hope you have an amazing honeymoon! I'm so glad we had one, it really was great to have some quality time as a couple.

in non wedding related news, can you believe it's less than 5 weeks until christmas?!

    Hi OMs!

I can't believe how quickly time is going, December is nearly here and it will soon be our first Christmases as married ladies!

I bought hubby a husband card for Christmas. Can't wait to give it to him

Has anyone else suffered from wedding blues? I didn't think they existed but definitely have had them, especially feeling low when husband is at work in the evenings and I have nothing to do on a cold, dark winter night Smiley sad

Aww, hugs Sarah! I definitely had wedding blues for a while. Nothing to obsess over, all the excitement of the build up, big day and honeymoon done, back to work, after a couple of days its back to business as usual and you don't want to let go of it. But now that I have our photos (i saw our album proofs today too) and i've made albums up for the families that feels good. Christmas is a month away! So there's things to buy and plan again, and my best friend is getting married on the 30th Dec, so there's lots to keep me busy. Work is completely insane though, which i'm finding very hard not to stress about, and winter has really set in, which means the SAD is creeping in too, havent missed that!

    Thanks Mrs Shep xx

I'm picking up the album today from the TOG, I saw the album proofs which looked great. Can't wait to have the actual album! And getting some photos in frames too. Christmas presents for family are easy this year- giving them photos from the wedding !! Getting busier in the run up to christmas and I have found a zumba class near me to go to once a week Smiley smile

Yep, family presents are very easy this year, it was lovely putting their albums together. Im going to be a bridesmaid for the first time a month tomorrow! Should be a lovely winter wedding
