We're getting married on 12th September at a gorgeous country venue in Warwickshire. So far we have the venue, registrar & photographer booked. I'm ordering the STDs (a digital download from Etsy) to get printed soon but otherwise I plan to chill out a bit til next year! ? We're planning a unique, unthemed, uncolour-themed day which celebrates us, our loves and our hobbies.

For example; I recently ordered some old Marvel comic books from eBay, which I'm hoping to turn into some very retro bunting!

Tell us about your September wedding plans....

I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to register!

We're also getting married on 12th September in Staffordshire. So far have booked venue, registrar and photographer. Bridesmaids dresses are ordered and should be with me by the end of the week! Also got a couple of meetings with some venue decorators this week and next week. Have emailed about a cake and have also emailed the DJ to book. My two big bridesmaids are hairdressers so they will be doing all hair on the morning, also one of their sisters is a beautician so will go to her for nails, tan etc a couple of days before and she will hopefully do my makeup on the day!

Other half thinks I'm being far too organised (in his words I'm rushing) but its a few less things to tick off the list!

Originally wanted my bridesmaids in mint but all mint dresses I have seen so far I've hated! I found some online a couple of days ago in duck egg that look amazing, free delivery and returns so they can go back if I don't like them. OH has now said he doesn't like duck egg and it won't go with navy which is the colour he wants to have his suit! So will be having a duck egg/lemon colour scheme if I keep the bridesmaids dresses Smiley smile

    Not really having a theme!

Going shopping for my dress in August with my 2 big bridesmaids and my mum. Originally wanted to wait until 12 months before but my mum is away for two weeks in September so thought we would start a month early!

Been engaged two years on the 2nd July but were saving for a house which we moved into last year. Thought wedding would be off the cards for a few years at least until my mum sprang it on me that she had £13,000 put away for me for my big day! Was originally budgeting up to that until we found our dream venue which has taken a huge chunk of that! So we are now saving hard ourselves in order to contribute and also for the honeymoon.

Well I ordered some envelopes for our STDs, only to find I'd accidentally picked C6 instead of C5 sized, like a complete wally! Luckily they have said I can send them back for a replacement but honestly.... what a tool! ️?️

I also did a spreadsheet the other day to track costs, I was a little bit "we've spent how much?!?". So much for that budget.... ? I plan to keep a tighter control on the finances from now on!

How are everyone else's September plans going?

    Things are going well!

We're on the brink of booking our entertainment (bumper cars!) and our save the dates have been ordered and have gone to print. They should be posted out on Monday ?

Make up has been booked, my dress has arrived and i'm currently designing our invitations. It's been a pretty busy month!

I'm getting married September 26th 2015! Smiley smile

I live in Cambridge and we've booked Granary Estates which is a beautiful barn in Newmarket. Other than that we've only booked our photographer and an acoustic music act, feeling a little like I haven't really done much now! ?

Our wedding style is romance & vintage. Don't really want a statement colour so going with neutral colours of white, ivory, champagne, nude & blush with some slate for decorations. I'm planning on being pretty DIY/Crafty with the venue decor, favours etc. We'll see how that pans out!

These are our STD's which I made, they went down really well! Sent those out about a month ago ?

Well after the envelope debacle we finally got the STDs out and they've gone down an absolute treat. Our website's just gone live too and although there's not much on it yet, the positive comments are great.

Once they're out it's chillout time til at least March next year I reckon.... ?

I sent out my save the dates on Thursday, was so pleased with them. Yesterday I went outfit shopping with my mum and sister and found my Bm dresses are half price on sale and then today I managed to get a cracking deal on my hair and MUA (£200 off) and my hog roast. Only problem is my venue won't allow me to provide my own evening buffet unless I provide All of the catering and we can't use their kitchen. I was hoping to have a sit down 3 course for daytime guests and a hog roast buffet for the evening. Not sure what to do now really......

    Hi fellow September 2015 brides!

We are getting married on 12th September 2015, like some of you here - yay date friends!!

We have booked our venue, registrar, car, florist, photograher, props, chair covers and sashes, accommodation, bought our invitations, sent out Save the Dates, bought props for our centre pieces...very organised! This way it means that all our deposits will be paid and we have longer to save for the bulk due next august Smiley smile

We are getting married at a vineyard in Surrey and I am completely over the moon with our venue, I feel it sums us up nicely - relaxed and with plenty of booze!

I have three adult bridesmaids (two are school friends and maid of honour is my old uni housemate) and OH is having two school friends and a work friend as his BM/groomsmen. They are the perfect people, a mix of sensible and completlely bonkers!

We are having a blue and yellow colour scheme with wild flowers and our florist in amazing and has totally got our needs, I am so excited to see them on the day!

Cake consultations are happening in September and dress shopping will begin then too! Ekkkkk!

I am not looking forward to being the centre of attention, but as long as I get to marry my OH, I don't care what I have to do!!

Loving reading all your posts so far, can't wait to hear more!

    Mrs L To Be xx

Another 12 September bride here Smiley smile booked the service for 1.30 in the town hall of the town i grew up in and the reception at a hotel 5 miles up the road. Package at the hotel includes chair covers, cake, cars, meal, buffet, dj so paying deposit for that last september has ticked a lot off the list! bridesmaid dresses are hanging up at my mums and my dress was ordered in March and should come in around November. we got engaged a year past sunday and I cant believe how quickly its gone in - will be in the middle of last minute wedding prep before we know it!!

We're sending 'Save the Dates' with christmas cards but my mums working on ideas for stationary just now - she's very kindly offered to make it for us. favours are almost decided on and then I can bulk order from ebay/etsy and start making them. my fiance just needs to see about getting a kilt outfit made (early next year i think) and we'll be good to go Smiley smile

    Ootelling me e!

After a horrible dress shopping experience where I came out quite upset, H2B had the raving hump and said he wasn't prepared to spend money in these places when none in my local area have any of the style of dress i want in my size ( street size 12/14, all shop had in fitted styles were 8 and 10)

Anyway,I digress...... We decided that if I bought 3 or 4 different styles of dress from eBay etc, spending no more than 200 a time, I could decide on a style and still not have spent what I was going to originally.

He chose me a beautiful mori lee dress bnwt model 4871 if anyone wants to Google and I loved it....or I thought I did. Although I said I may ask when I have it altered if they can add some more sparkle. Whilst llooking for a slimmer easier to dance in type dress i came across a Ronald Joyce Pandora dress, again cheap as chips, sent the link to hubby saying ahhh wish I seen this before. He put a bid in without telling me and 5 mins later my phone beeps.... ITEM WON!

So now I have two, very large very beautiful dresses. Not quite the big church dress and smaller party dress i was looking for......

Lucky lady! Are you going to wear one for the ceremony and one for the reception?

We've just had our first rejection from the STDs. Some friends have a family wedding on the same day. It's really sad but there's nothing we can do; family wedding trumps friends' wedding and I completely understand that. ☹️

Another 12th Sept bride here! We only booked it last Friday so im still slightly in shock!! We are having civil ceremony and reception in one place, quite informal with afternoon tea and hog roast. Venue is sorting all food/catering, chair covers, DJ, and will decorate for us with any extras we provide like bunting/fairy lights. We have booked the registrar. I have tons of ideas.... just got to turn them into reality! Feel like next big thing to tick off the list is the dress, so going to start shopping in next few weeks. I just know the time is going to race by so want to get all the smaller stuff done early to hopefully save stress further down the line!

Love this forum already.... think its going to be a life line!

I am date twin with Junie - 19 September 2015 but am much less organised!?

So far just the church and reception venue booked. Catering and DJ supplied by reception venue.

I think I have found both my dress and bridesmaids dresses though am waiting until I have been to a couple of wedding fayres before I take the plunge and make any orders! Also in discussions with photographers.

Currently trying to find the right wedding stationery supplier so I can order STDs!

    Hi ladies

Well my STDs are pretty much all out now and everything is booked and deposits paid so it's really just the dress. I went to a wedding dress place at the weekend and have a couple of designs pegged as being really nice and because they do bespoke gowns I can mix and match bits of both which I think is what I'll ultimately do but I need to go back several times so it's not going to be a quick decision. Plus they take 6 months to make it so good job I started early!

Other than that, I'm in chillout mode! Had a lovely lunch with my tog last week - I'm so chuffed I found her on here (thanks Hitched!), because she's ACE! ?

I was really excited all day yesterday as it was officially a year until our big day! Kept thinking....this time next year....!

We have had a pretty awful week though as my future mother in law passed away very suddenly on Monday. We are all doing ok and my OH is coping really well....its just hard to think of his dad on his own....we went and stayed for few days this week but its 140 miles away so we had to come home. Just feel like i need to put wedding planning on hold for a few weeks while we recover and get past the funeral too. I feel a little bit guilty for being so excited about wedding stuff while we have something so sad happening too.

Hope everyone else's plans are going well xx

I wasn't going to join anything like this as its second time around and then I thought what the heck...why not have a bit of fun.

Im an ancient bride, so have been there before, with the long white dress, four bridesmaids etc. this time it's going to be different.

This wedding has to be as cheap as chips and I'm flying ten family members out to the Canary islands for our wedding ceremony so I've spent our budget already.

We are getting married on the beach. It will be very casual. Just me, hubby, family and anyone else who can get themselves out there.

I'm not sure what to wear. I've told the family not to spend a lot of money on wedding clothes, they can come in shorts and t shirts if they wish. It's going to be red hot anyway Just as long as they are

Im hoping for Sept 19. It's a very special number for us.

Part of me would like a long but simple gown for under £100 or stretching to £150 at a push. I'd like a stretch jersey as I'm rather chubby and when I get out there I tend to bloat even more with the heat :-(

Most ready made dresses are chiffon. I wouldn't mind a stretch lace but my first dress was like that.

Ive bought two dresses for my wedding ( special occasion ones )and taken them back as I was too fat for them!

Nightmare really and I just don't want to diet.

If I was getting married in the uk I would do a Cath kidston/ romantically type theme. There's been some lovely bits on here for sale so it will just be a bucket and spade theme lol!

Oh yes, it will be 7 years next year that we've been together and almost 40 years to the day since my first wedding!

Yes, I really am that old,!!

    Mustard_mitt – I’m 25th September Smiley smile

Mrs L-to-be, I’m based in Surrey, which vineyard are you getting married at? Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Denbies!

Future*mrsP, I’m so sorry to hear your sad news, my thoughts are with you and your OH xx

How’s the dress hunt going for everyone? I’ve found too many I like! It’s a tough decision. I'm naturally indecisive which really doesn't help. x
