September brides....

Hi fellow september-er!! Im very pretty much not sorted ?, well that was untill i met a fantastic woman yesterday (jules 40) and now have someone to do my cake and venue dressing! Im so relieved because bth were becoming a major worry money wise! Im doing loads of posts at the mo about dresses because im totally stuck as to what to do! Im goin to flash a few things on a thread in a mo could i have your opinion please? Rings are bought thou...i love them!

Venue sorted just need to sort food choices with them!

Band sorted..althou panicing we will get let down by them they are becoming v popular?

Invites hopefuly ordered today if i have all i need with me!

I'll give my opinion! I look at most threads as i'm a nosy moo! It seems to be coming round fast now!

Car for me! Dont want anything posh, my friend is asking a friend if i can borrow his posh BMW, because i refuse to pay out for a car for me as thats not really my thing. I did chase a plain white london taxi down the other day and asked him if he would stick a pink ribbon on it and take me to my wedding. He looked at me like a mad women but gave me his card anyway!

Honeymoon needs booking, but im sure its Mexico we are going to.

Think thats all but i bet its not - bet i think of a million things now!

We are pretty much sorted. Dress fitting is booked for the 25th july. Sending invites out next month. Ordered my little boys page boy suit yesterday. Men have their fitting booked for july.

Still struggling with the table plan. Just when we think its perfect we realise its all wrong. But everything else is done.

Nice to here we are all doing ok.

Just tried posting but cant use pics as im at work so ill get onto that one tonight!

Ok it is coming fast these last few weeks seem to be where things get to the serious planning stage, but im paniced even more now i really am dilly dallying compared to you all ?! am i still within reasonable time to get it all done?

Pretty sorted I think, need to book dress fittings and I haven't sorted head+makeup yet.

Sent the Day invites on weekend so they should have arrived yesterday/today ish. Feels a bit early to send evening invites (although i'll probably just get impatient and stuff 'em in the postbox in the next couple of days/weeks, LOL)

Re-interviewing for my own job tomorrow, fingers crossed I get it, because although the redudancy money might be handy, I don't wanna have to spend loads of time job hunting!

Another September bride here!

I think we have everything sorted, though I am being far more relaxed than I thought I'd be and that in turn gets me a little worried that I have forgotten something!

Invitations are on order and should arrive in the next fortnight. We ordered our wedding bands on Saturday which is very exciting!

Hair trial booked for July, dress fitting will be early August. Going shoe shopping with my mum next month. Mr Mezzy's best men (he has three!) are being fitted for their suits this Saturday and the Dad's will go next month.

We're getting there! really not long to go now!

Hi September Sisters! (v. lame but it was the best i could come up with)

Most major things are all sorted but lots of final touches to do over the next couple of months. I need to finish a few invites off then they can be sent out and finding some rings is the next main job.

I finally have my centrepieces yay! They are from Morrisons and i managed to get 4 before they went out of stock. OH works for them and travels to different shops all over the country so whenever he went to a shop he was under strict instructions to see if they had any in. It took 2 months but he actually managed to get hold of the 12 that we need. . . bless him?

im pretty much all organized just need some last minute bits for the honeymoon,

all my work starts the day before the wedding doing the food and set up of the venue,

oh and i need a car and minibus to take us all around

had a little stress moment last week but i have more than just the wedding going on right now for those who have glanced at my other posts,

but not long for us all right now

OMG!! You have all got me panicking...

I havent bought my shoes or jewelery or the bridesmaids!
I havent chose songs, havent done the order of service, havent even thought about the table plan. Sending day invitations out today. havent got my vail.. ummm oh dear!! Have to hunt down 12 metal spiral obelisks for my centerpieces! Oh havent decided on the food either( i have the menus)!!
I might put a post up of the menus later and ask what everyone would like, im clueless

Got my dress (on order!) and bridesmaids, men have had their fittings. Sorted out the flowers, nearly done evening invites, more or less chosen my cake (M&S), got tiara, got church and venue booked, got my photographer booked. Looking for a videographer in budget! Booked DJ, had a few hair trials with all the bridesmaids.... Im going to the wedding in my own car.... I like my car and its pearly white so why spend money hiring one! Booked and paid for chair covers.

Oh my gosh! I feel like im missing loads and you are all so organised!

is there anything major im missing??

Im with you natty, ur possibly more organised than i am thou! im still yet to have a dress for me or the bridesmaids yet eech! Plent of time ay dont look at the ticker, dont look at the ticker!!!

ha ha thats what i'm like i at Christmas i thought everything was in hand blah blah now this damn ticker has decided to speed up all of a sudden.

i've still got to:

print ot info sheet for invites/send invites/table planning

suit hire - OH hasn't even looked at any yet

add touches to centre pieces

decide on hair and have trial

pick songs/readings/contact registra

find out how much venue in charging for extras - with that place it could be ££££

Dont Panic!! I havent done shoes, or jewllery either. Nor do i have my veil! Yes please post the menus would love to see them.

I was thinking we never have a September thread!! lol I don't even have a date twin :-(

My dress is due in next month!! SOOOOOOOOO excited!!!!

I've booked everything just need to pay for it all and still need to sort FG and BM dresses, both are picked. BM dresses need ordered and FG dresses just need picked up.

OH still has his Kilt to sort which he's doing within the next week or two and the invites will be getting made and sent out soon. As I need to Know Numbers for people staying over night at the hotel.

Still need to give notice and put in our bands and if i've forgot something can someone please tell me!! lol

Oh and I still need to get our rings and the centre pieces engraved.

Not got too much left to do and only 18 weeks to go. Eeeek!! lol

Everyone seems to have sorted most stuff out!! lol

Well I can guarantee you ladies are all much more organised than me!

We only booked venue 2 weeks ago and my h2b hasnt even seen it yet! I'm getting my dress made and seeing dressmaker this weekend, have seen bm dresses and shoes but was waiting for one of them to come back from holiday to try before we buy.

Having ceremony at our church and our Pastor's wife told us we just need to tell her 6 weeks before the wedding and she'll sort everything out there!

Also need to give notice and get certificates. h2b is sorting rings and honeymoon. I've booked h2b and groomsmen suit hire they just need to try them on at beginning of July. (only h2b has tried his) Invitations will be sorting with future MiL once we've sorted numbers for the venue. We didnt send Save the Dates but we had an announcement in The Times which was alot cheaper! The venue organises dressing, disco, bar and catering so that's all sorted.

Not sure about favours - just another expense! Went to a wedding in Kensington earlier in the year and people just left them on the table - I would be so upset!

Oooh Im getting excited now thinking about it! I bought flower girls dresses ages ago and their parents will get shoes and tights nearer the time - they're little so their feet are growing too fast to get them now.

What else! Oh I'm waiting to hear back from a photographer and then will have to choose between the two and I need to get on with my singing practice as I'm meant to be seranading my h2b!!

hi i have 4 months left to sent my invites too i sent hole lot coz i got impatient with seeing them so got them out had 4 rsvps for day back already and an evening one too had a call today to say my wedding ring has arrived at ernest jones and going this weekend to have second fitting done after problems with my last fitting , cant have hair make up trial till august as person i booked is working away till july , just comfirming with different people now everything else is sorted

Im getting married 3rd September, Got pretty much everything sorted except the OH's suits and the flowers. Met with the caterers and bar last week so that's all decided on now. Invitations also arrived last week so need to write them this week so they are in the post by the 1st June latest. Oh and Ive got to sort my hair out, going for a consultation on Friday.

All in all think i'm on top things (for the moment!) ?

We get married in 109 days! Second Saturday in September.

So far sorted:

My dress and Bridesmaid dresses - set to arrive July.

Men's suites sorted,

Mum's outfits sorted,

Venue paid for,

Marriage license sorted,

Registrar booked,

Cars booked,

Cake chosen and deposit paid,

Hair dresser booked (need to arrange trail)

Make up booked (trial booked)

Honeymoon booked,

Flowers sorted – need to sort out final bits nearer the time.

Invites made and day sent out, evening are mostly printed just need to assemble and post,

Favours done (have had them ages,)

DJ booked – need to sort out songs etc.

Need to:

Chose menu,

Pay final balances,

Buy honeymoon wardrobe,

Buy rings,

Buy presents for bridesmaids etc,

Sort out fittings of dresses,

Arrange music and check with registrars.

Shoes for myself and bridesmaids,

Have I missed anything?

We've not got long left. Can't wait.

I feel pretty much organised too. Invites almost ready to post. Just need to get stamps.

All outfits are sorted and all accessories etc. Just need OH's shoes.

Venue, food, drink, decorations done and transport sorted.

Favours my mum is doing.

hair and makeup finally sorted.

shoes bought.

We just need to table plan, name cards for the tables and finally decide on music. OH keeps changing his mind. lol x

My main issue is I'm having my dress made and still haven't seen it. Really beginning to worry me. Not sure the woman has even ordered the fabric yet. But it'll be fine. Not losing sleep over it yet.

I'm getting married on the 3rd Sept and having my dress made too. I'm seeing her to be measured and do material shopping this weekend! Dont worry, my dressmaker told me if she sat down and did nothing else she'd have it done in 3 weeks! It's on the shops that need ridiculously long lead times!
