    My mum is from Mauritius!

Stay at The One & Only St Gerain which is 5* luxury, you can do all sorts of day trips as well as hire a car and go to all the sights like Port Louis market, Flic en Flac, the volcano...

Try trailfinders for a good deal, Air France are a good airline to fly with ?

Ooh its on our shortlist! i'd found some good deals flying with Emirates but we were looking for a Scotland departure (not anymore though!!)

my local travel agent said the Seychelles were his ultimate luxury destination for some R&R (said this when we didn't know what we were doing). Mauritus appealed to H2B as he is a mad golfer and it got his thumbs up.

    Ixxx

    Thanks girls!!

From what we've been told (by a travel agent, who basically shot herself in the foot by doing this!), the Seychelles is more 'basic' than Mauritius. But from what i've seen, they're about on par with eachother. Both involve total luxury and pampering. Hurrah!

Have got all the details i could get my grubby little mits on, but theres sooo much to wade through its so hard to know where to start! Think the 'one and only' on was on our shortlist.....although so were about 7 others!

    Morning !

We've booked to go both places for our honeymoon for September this year, we chopped and changed our booking with 3 travel agents and changed hotels in both resorts.

Seychelles - we were going to the Banyan Tree but changed to the Northolme Hilton. Our reason's were the Banyan was too remote you couldn't do all the excursions and decided the prices wasn't worth the few extra's.

Mauritius - Were going too the Heritage in the south but again too far away from everything although, great for Golf (we're not golfer's. Now going to Ledgends in the North, this has shops bar's etc outside the hotel and its an All Inclusive which we were advised on as drink price's are very high.

I would recomend the all in option for Mauritius it'll save you money on food and drink. The north is generaly the busyier end which is was we wanted, we have 6 quiet days in the Seychelles anymore than that we'd go mad, away for 3 weeks in total !

We booked with Trailfinders and they were the best I looked at every agent. We're also flying Air France Business Class but not until the Tuesday, we saved on seats, they cost around the same as economy.

    I hope I've helped you !!?

OOhhh I can't wait, Both have been my dream destinations for a few years now.?

    Thanks soooooooo much dolly!!!!

We're going end of sept this year too!!! Was definitely looking at all inc for mauritius, and at legends too- thinking of north or east coast as its better placed for tours and stuff, and we're not golfers either.

Can i ask how much it all cost....and maybe a bit of a breakdown of prices? We're pretty much set on going tho, as i've wanted to go for years!

    Hi,
sorry to crash the thread- but does anyone have an experience of the Prince Maurice hotel in Mauritius? We are considering this for our honeymoon.
    TIA!
