Shameless flash of everything so far :-)

LeedsBride, 7 February, 2012 at 21:03 Posted on Planning 0 10

I should probably have more things sorted by now, but heres a shameless flash of what I've got so far!

Venue:

Dress:

Bridesmaids:

Idea of flower colours:

I just wondered, would I need some sort of hoop or underskirt for my dress do you think? as when I've tried it on, it looks more 'flat' that the picture above.

TYIA ?

Won't hurt to try one they've got in the shop (they should have). At first I was happy without one but upon experimenting on a couple of visits to try on I've gone with one as it makes the shape more dramatic and makes it more comfortable to walk in and airier around the legs generally- those underlayers can feel a bit clingy after not long.

I'd try one with the dress and see what you think. I tried the dress I was thinking of last week and had to go back today to try with a hoop to see if it sat differently and it did. X

The underskirts do tend to lift the dress away from your legs slightly which does help to walk easier especially if you are in very high heels. It also gives it a slight lift if it's a tad too long but not too long to have to shorten if you know what I mean. They do give a more even shape to your dress too. You can hire them sometimes from your dress shop or, we paid £45 for a double hoop one for our daughter from Limelight Occasions in Lepton, Huddersfield.

I love the colour of the bridesmaid dresses!

You could even introduce a pinky tone to your flowers.....?

    Thank you ladies!

The venue is Woodlands hotel in Leeds, and I had tried my dress on in Berketex in Leeds, but then found the same one on Preloved for half the price ? It is Nara by Rosetta Nicollini. I'll definitely look into getting an underskirt, there are some reasonably priced ones on eBay ?
