Shannon Matthews mother arrested

Sky news are saying it may have all been planned to secure money from the public and media.

Oh dear, the plot thickens further (if the Mail are to be believed) Shannon's mother and abductor were allegedly having an affair and Shannon has announced to her mum she likes it with her foster carers and doesn't want to come home...

You really couldn't dream all this up for a soap could you?

The poor wee thing. That is heartbreaking. I really hope it isn't true ?

I feel so sorry for Shannon and for the younger children.

First of all their sister goes missing,then is found, but they can't see her, then their "dad" gets arrested, and now they have been placed in care. They must be so confused.

I really hope that it wasn't a scheme involving the mother and all the other relatives who have been arrested, to obtain money fromthe media etc.

I'm hoping against hope that the mother knew nothing about the abduction - how could you knowingly put your child through that?

What a sorry mess this whole thing is turning out to be. Those poor kids.

Well, whilst all this is going on, the children are probably in the best place, away from the media glare.

Well thats very ture. The press have said she has had the other kids taken from her and also that one of the childrens fathers took his son from her when he was baby, but they don't actually say what the problem is.

It all just seems terribly sad really.
