share your sh1t days

Fark me. i have had THE crappest day ?

got up at 6:30 to move furniture for painters. painters arrive at 7:30. go to studio to await delivery of clothes supposedly at 8. no delivery. call client (who s arriving at 9) to advise no clothes. she says "oh its ok, i have them with me" thanks for telling me you utter git. client is then late, then tells me there are another 3 outfits not previousl advised. no problem says me, but it going to take longer, and therefore a higher charge. oh but but but but she says. i explain that i m doing something else from midday and will have to put that back if the other client allows. client says no, must be there at 1 latest. so now client 1 is pissed off and trying to blame me for being "difficult" ?. stylist is also late, as is model. we (predictably) run out of time so have to reschdule the rest for next week. christmas fucking eve no less ?

get home and check status of package arriving from US. "attempted delivery" says the tracking info. painters have been here all day, no bloody delivery. then it transpires that "attempted delivery" just means that the parcel is at the depot, pending payment for customs charges, despite its value being less than the threshold. tossers. so i go and get the parcel, pay for the delivery, and get home to find i ve missed a DHL delivery in the 30 mins i was out, and since i m out all day tomorrow, i ll have to go to the depot, which is bloody miles away ??.

to cap it all, the painters have clearly spilled paint on the stair carpet, tried to remove it, and its left a stain - and they didnt tell me. RAAAH!!!! I am so fucking annoyed ?

ok in the whole scheme of things, it could be worse, and i know lots of people are having a crap time and with far worse things than this, but i m so angry i could break something or someone. so come on, share your crap days and make me feel better ?

It is more of a rubbish week really.

Accused of being a racist company.

Stupid lab we haven't used before failing to get prints out on time, so lots of event cheap as chips images have to be redone and the customers are going MENTAL.

Massive print order from main lab didn't arrive, so had to be re ordered with an extortionate pre 10am delivery charge - will dispute as arrived at 10.30am. Order not complete and everything needs framing by Saturday.

Petfood company online system couldn't cope with anyone having our volume of deliveries. wtf? we're a delivery company, how can this be? Therefore on Monday we couldn't print a list of deliveries, no, instead we had to print each one individually, all 72 of them. Massive delay therefore, not good as delivery driver then out until mad o clock delivering.

Weds we COULD get a delivery list, driver helpfully put everything into postcode order after H had already sorted all the deliveries into correct order. Something locked in system which meant they wouldn't move to correct order again for aaaages. not good as delivery driver then out until mad o clock delivering.

I think the racism thing has annoyed me the most though, the rest is just stressy

    Awwww there there. ? ?

I've had quite a good day ackcherloi, despite having to motor on only 3 hours sleep. I've been out for a wonderful lunch, gorged on mince pies and mulled wine for most of the afternoon, and i'm about to go to ice skating at the rink at george square. You know how clumsy I am, so I will no doubt be on later like this "£okhjhh dfuckjkj., mnyt fiongherssss!"!"!!" because i will be trying to type with bloody stumps after some kind of freak injury sustained whilst attemping a triple axel or death spiral. ?

On the plus side, last night I went to see Flashdance at the theatre and got loads of free champagne, and today I went to a business lunch and met a really good contact (and got free food after skipping breakfast)

2 small children, both in foul moods th 3yr old is acting like a teenager and if I hear the word "bikkit" one more time I will throttle her, 18 month old with gammy eyes is making satan look positively angelic. On my own with them. ALL DAY LONG.

I was meant to be going into London for a jolly but Mr P forgot to call and let me know where we were doing small child handover until it was too late for me to go out AND transfer the money I needed to be able to afford it. So Mum and sister were meant to be coming here instead, but Mum has just called saying she feels too sick to come so that is cancelled too and I was really looking forward to it.

Oh and Croydon Council have declined our parking fine query on the basis that the traffic warden looked at our friends car for one minute, took 5 photos and didn't see anyone around (not because they were in our house sorting out the ticket or anything...oooh no).

To be fair, we mostly use One Vision and that is working really well (when things don't get lost in the post).

So, we did a MAHOOSIVE promo with local radio station - going to different locations for 2 weeks, taking pics of 0-3 yr olds, for a comp they were running. All the entries went online and then the radio station narrowed it down to 10 in each category for voting on the winners. The day the finalists went online, I got a call from a woman saying that her daughter had asked her to phone and ask why there were no black children in the finalists. She went on and on about what a shame it was in this day and age that 'this sort of thing' happens. Quite ranty.

So, I pointed out to her
    1. we didn't choose the finalists
    2. there were black and asian children amongst the finalists. Yes the majority were white but this was representative of the photos taken.

End of conversation, obviously, what with her being wrong etc

No, obviously not, she continued with the 'well, my daughter has looked online and she just thinks it's sad really in this day and age etc, etc'. I mean, wtf? She is wrong and still ranting at me? I explained, again, that she was wrong. It was like she couldn't back down. She had never looked at the comp herself, and obviously her daughter couldn't be wrong.

She upset me sooooo much, almost as much as the bloke at the studio with his 'you are not selling things at cost' and 'you are obviously trying to make a profit' comments. Nutter.

I think working with children is fine. It's the parents who are the problem ?

Selfish stepson started the day off nicely (for full info see my Rant post). I've been slowly stewing about it all day which means that when MrD comes home he's so gonna get both barrels ? Now looks like I won't be going to wedding reception on Saturday as has been planned for two months.

Two small aliens have abducted my 3 and 5 year old and replaced them with demons (could possibly be related to Puss' children ?) who are currently making so much noise in the lounge I can't even be bothered to tell them to shut up anymore because I'm just wasting my breath.

My hair looks skanky (although this will be sorted by trip to hairdressers on Saturday) and I have not had make up on all day and feel like a slob.

On the plus side, I'm going to see James at the G-Mex/Manchester Central-whatever its called now tomorrow night however, its standing only and I'm an old far who likes to sit down (see what I did there? ?) at concerts.

Fark me. "in this day and age" ?

i recently had someone (on an email) say that they couldnt afford a job, and could i knock off 20%. i said no but i could recommend someone if they wished. the guy wrote back and said "in current conditions i m surprised you wont reduce your price", so i replied to him and said its precisely because of economic conditions that i wont reduce the price, and he then sent me a ranty email about how it was obvious that i didnt understand economics, and that he would take his business "elsewhere" ?

No , i didnt bother to reply. there was a time when i would have written him a scathing mail back, but these days i just cant be bothered wasting the energy. plus, dealing with "the public" is a bit of a nightmare at the best of time unless I already know them.

i havent been asked about the vat drop either, i would imagine because the majority dont give a monkeys. well, not until they ll be paying for it in 18 months time anyway.

I work for the NHS who is at crisis point, got home late, busy all day, grief from staff and patients, lack of staff, too many patients and now I have to go Christmas shopping with my H to choose my Christmas present and it is persisting it down. Plus, I am tired and a little bit grumpy. H is annoying me too. I need to buy clothes tonight and today I'm having a fat day! and I can't even construct a coherent paragraph!

OK, I am now having a *** day. I have just remembered that I can't ice skate and I HATE it, and my sister who I'm going with is fabulous at it and does those backwards wiggly bottom moves whilst looking amazing in her skin tight leggings. I look like a frumpy middle manager and will be clinging onto the sides wailing. ? I think I might go on the helter skelter and the swings instead. I don;t know why I agreed to the skating, I wasn't thinking AT ALL.

Had to clean it up and I'm throbbing all over with man flu and my nose is running like a tap.

After cleaning up mess and seeing to dog, I came back into lounge and stubbed my little toe on base of settee.

Watching GMTV and Fiona Phillips leaving do, got a bit weepy for her, went into kitchen to get tissue and missed the friggin postman with a parcel so now have to collect from office!

    waaaaahhhh!

Rubbish couple of days really - boss randomly has guilt pangs about me working late and decided yesterday was a good day to start one of these (this is despite me losing two members of staff and not being allowed to replace them) and needs to look at my workload. I explained yesterday that I have no new ideas outside of more staff, everything I can delegate I have delegated, everything that's left needs to be done by me. But she decides we have to set a meeting to discuss it - like that's what I need right now, less time.

Anyway, what a waste of time that was - no new ideas, no new staff, now even further behind with my workload. Gah!

After being woken up at 4am by the brat, and not getting back to bed until 6.30 when (funnily enough) I was wide awake by that point, I am shattered. In my sleep deprived state I decided to brave the crowds in town only to come back sodden and empty handed. Nobody is getting any presents this year.

Crap evening here, went to ww, one of my sets of scales broke which was ok tonight as it was a small class but, it seems i may not get a new set before new year- new year with only 1 set of scales, been there done that NOT doing it again. the class numbers were pants and my party fell a bit flat. 7 year old has eaten too much and i can hear her in bedroom next door tossing ~& turning, i know we are going to be ill tonight. great.

Fairly low scale compared with some (caveat accepted though Nick).

Spent today going through core assessments and life stories for adults with learning disabilities - I know we did things differently back in the 60s, but to put a 4 year old into a big hospital and walk away from it.....? and similar, if not worse stories.

And I have to go back to the people who did the work, and tell them their work isn't up to scratch, it's late, it's not detailed enough in a lot of cases, it's plain wrong in others. Oh, and X doesn't get upset if he can't have his cornflakes out of his own bowel. It's bowl you numpty.

H has been ill in bed all week, the house is an absolute pit as I haven't had time to do anything because i've been running around doing all the family things that need to get done before christmas and then going to bed at 9pm because I'm knackered

Now I seem to have caught some of what H has and look oncredibly attractive with my weepy swollen eye uber pale complexion and bright red nose! and I've still had to come in to bring in my secret santa and get my timesheet done otherwise I won't get paid and am hoping I can skip the works christmas lunch and slope off home

Wednesday I had the crappiest day i've had for a long time, I was poorly, MIL kept ringing to tell me how poorly MissSun was, got into work to some very very bad news about boss who is also a very dear and much thought of friend, then found out no christmas bonus which paled into comparison to the bad news but still hit me a bit hard as I was relying on it and then H rings to say his back has gone and today he's still in agony and i'm worried sick. So much for having a good christmas, I just want some good news.

Well, on the positive side, i just saw a child have a full on tantrum in its pram, and literally spit out its dummy, which really made me laugh ?

and following on from yesterday, the painter rang me to tell me the wrong paint had been delivered ??
