Fark me. i have had THE crappest day ?

got up at 6:30 to move furniture for painters. painters arrive at 7:30. go to studio to await delivery of clothes supposedly at 8. no delivery. call client (who s arriving at 9) to advise no clothes. she says "oh its ok, i have them with me" thanks for telling me you utter git. client is then late, then tells me there are another 3 outfits not previousl advised. no problem says me, but it going to take longer, and therefore a higher charge. oh but but but but she says. i explain that i m doing something else from midday and will have to put that back if the other client allows. client says no, must be there at 1 latest. so now client 1 is pissed off and trying to blame me for being "difficult" ?. stylist is also late, as is model. we (predictably) run out of time so have to reschdule the rest for next week. christmas fucking eve no less ?

get home and check status of package arriving from US. "attempted delivery" says the tracking info. painters have been here all day, no bloody delivery. then it transpires that "attempted delivery" just means that the parcel is at the depot, pending payment for customs charges, despite its value being less than the threshold. tossers. so i go and get the parcel, pay for the delivery, and get home to find i ve missed a DHL delivery in the 30 mins i was out, and since i m out all day tomorrow, i ll have to go to the depot, which is bloody miles away ??.

to cap it all, the painters have clearly spilled paint on the stair carpet, tried to remove it, and its left a stain - and they didnt tell me. RAAAH!!!! I am so fucking annoyed ?

ok in the whole scheme of things, it could be worse, and i know lots of people are having a crap time and with far worse things than this, but i m so angry i could break something or someone. so come on, share your crap days and make me feel better ?

    Can I have a sh1t few days?

It's just been one of those weeks, which I have tried to stay positive as it really wasn't that serious in reality.

Started last week with our beloved cat chewing on a glow stick that she found, cue her foaming at the mouth and atrip to the emergency vets, me yelling at my husband (I called him a massive fool for the second time this year!) and a 120 quid bill. She is actually fine apparently just didn't like the taste ? didn't injest any. There was much hilarity at the vet asking if she had glowing poo ? the next day.

Then our car which we got from a private garage back in October started to rev wildly. We phoned said garage as they gave 3 months warranty to get it fixed to find out they have gone bust! So we went to our usual car person instead and he has fixed it. Silver lining is that it wasn't that expensive in the end as we were panicking it was going to be something major!

work is horrendous I am being given stuff that other people should do, my project almost went wrong. Things are turning round though it just felt like one thing after another.

Good vibes for all you having bad days...I will be glad when I am off work!

I'm having a bit of a sh!t month at work. I have nothing to do, so am incredibly bored. I tried looking for training courses, but all the free ones available which I can run over the intranet are dull and pointless, and will annoy my work colleagues as you need sound and I don't have a headset - despite asking for one. I can't have one as there isn't a business reason, apparently.

They can't find me anything new to do because I only need something until the middle of March, and local, and everything going is longer term than that or too far away for me to consider (like Hamburg for 22 months).

They've offered me voluntary redundancy, though, so I just need to decide whether to take it. I have to decide by Monday morning.

    It's nice to be wanted...

Mine's a pants week as well. Monday and Tuesday boy was off school ill, Wednesday girl was off school ill and between that small girl has been seriously grumpy as I think most of her back teeth are coming through and she just seems to want to scream at everything I try to do!

I'm not feeling too good, very lethargic and not eating properly, which I know is my fault but I can't seem to manage to sort it out. Was also going to get a new phone which is great, but then it didn't arrive which upset me for no proper reason, and now it has arrived I just feel guilty about getting a phone when I could really just do with a new wardrobe.

And also no matter how much I try to sort the house out when I have the energy it never makes any difference and always looks a mess.

? to those with big problems though.

Mine isn't really a crap day, just lots of little crap things that are annoying me.

I ordered a present for my impossible to buy for grandparents six weeks ago. It hadn't turned up by the start of last week, so I sent them an e-mail. No reply. I then phoned and the person I spoke to said they would have to check with suppliers and get back to me. Fair enough, so I wait and wait and wait. I phone him again and he says he will have to check with suppliers (feck knows what he was doing for the day and a half then).

Finally comes back to me after another two calls and says that one was posted ages ago. Funny how every other parcel has turned up fine in that same period really. So, I tell him that I need it by this Saturday. We are going to see them this Saturday and they live quite a way away, so if I don't have the present, they won't get it for ages after Christmas. I phone the guy back and he says they will send out another one, which is fine. I asked him to send it special delivery and I am happy to pay any extra required. He phones me back later to say that they have sent it out by recorded at no additional charge, so it will get there the next day. No, recorded goes into normal mail and I just have to sign for it *bangs head on table* If it doesn't arrive today, I face going into Christmas madness at 8am tomorrow to find a present for them, which will make me cry as they are so difficult and as a result, I won't get to spend much time with my mum tomorrow as we won't be able to leave our house until later meaning we arrive later. I have to get a present for them as we are very close and no other fecker bothers.

I have hurt both my feet and still can't walk properly, which makes the thought of the above horrific.

H does not want to go to my mum or nan's and I know already he is going to drive me mad tomorrow. Yes, my mum does drive me mad as well, but I have to put on a happy face at his parents, so he could do the same at mine.

    Child related crapness - sorry.

i now have to bottle feed number 5. i don't want to - but apparently she will not put weight on without being force fed milk that looks and smells like carnation. i feel like a failure. i find bottle feeding stressful and lots of work.

yesterday she kept vomiting over me. i ended up coated in what looked like evaporated milk. i cried.

today one of E's docs came to see me. apparently they are finding her difficult to diagnose and frustrating to deal with. She is being disruptive and manipulative and doesn't want to have home leave cos she would rather stay with her gang who are all egging each other on to self harm etc. That includes her not wanting to come home at christmas.

i am fed up of having to talk to peoplr about her. i would quite like to cry now but it would upset number 4.

i think i am teetering on the edge of PND. not sure how much more i can cope with.

sh!t day? Sh!t year more like.....

My darling new bf rang on tuesday cancelling out plans as his elderly father had been rushed to hospital with pneumonia. he also has cancer and is 80-odd so not looking good.

    i spent wednesday throwing up.

no. 1 daughter has a bacterial skin infection.

no.2 daughter is simply the spawn of satan.

i have a report and an essay to write by the middle of january, haven't started either.

and my period started so now i'm sluggish and drowsy.

My day started at 01.00 when the baby woke up crying because she is ill. I fed and settled her only for her to wake again at 04.30. Luckily she wailed and went straight back to sleep again but of course by then I was awake. Tried to go back to sleep and just as I was nodding off got woken by her again. So gave up and got up at 05.00.

Went downstairs to check on my internet banking as today is the day I receive my redundancy payment to find it is £2k less than I was expecting. I am an accountant so should have calculated it reasonably closely so chances are they haven't paid me everything they said they would or they told me they were going to pay the wrong amount or have done something weird. I can't check because as yet I still don't have a payslip (should have been here early this week). So I have been trying to get a copy of the payslip to find out what is happening. Don't really want to be dealing with the HR numpties at the company, particularly not as they sent me a letter asking me to sign up to new terms and conditions with them - despite them making me redundant over 2 weeks ago, so I don't have much faith in their abilities.

Decide to go out and see Mum and get cake to make me feel better and sickly daughter does a huge explodapoo that meant we had to come straight home as I couldn't clean it up (was on every item of clothing she was wearing!) so we are now here for the day. Poor little thing really isn't well and is very clingy as a result. Unfortunately I am also not feeling great and would love to curl up and do naff all other than eat ice cream, but I need to tidy up the house, get dinner ready etc.

? to Lois and Hecate in particular but also everyone else having a crappy day.

Well I've had a shitty week too

On Monday I had an "Attendance Management" meeting with my boss as I'd had 6 days off in the last 12 months. He decided to put me on a Formal Warning as an example as he thought other managers had been too lenient. I have already written my appeal even though he hasn't sent me the warning letter

I've also felt shit with a cold all week, but can't now take any time off sick because of this stupid warning, so ended up sobbing in front of my work colleagues Monday and Tuesday when they told me I should be at home, and the doctor who's sending me for a raft of blood tests on Monday

H had a two-part exam this morning. Got 94% in the first part, but failed the second part because the computer mouse was playing up and not registering hits so he has to resit it in January (although he is putting in a complaint)

Could quite happily ignore Christmas this year except Mum is coming to stay. Only made the Christmas cake on Tuesday, still have the garage to sort out, a TV, PC monitor and fridge to get rid of, the tree to put up, presents to wrap and shopping to get. I'm working until Christmas Eve and I just want to go back to bed and stay there

I've even cancelled going to our Christmas do tonight as my boss is going to be there and I really can't face him and being sociable at the same time

But good to see that Nick J also gets grumpy when he has the painters in

    Runts up at 2.30am, 4.10am, 5am, 6.30am.

Smell of sick where ill runt boked on me.

Ill runt on hunger strike since Monday - will eat banana from my dad or son, but not from me.

Well runt helpfully beating tripe out of ill one.

MasterA came home from school and announced that he'd like some game for Christmas which I can't find in stock online. Except for Amazon marketplace who want twice the price and can't deliver before Christmas as NI is apparently "not in UK."

MrA going out tonight, will inevitably come back drunk, demanding blow job and singing special "hello little wifey" song that he saves for such occasions.

Tried to get traditional festive giant box of Tunnocks teacakes in Tesco yesterday - none in stock. Christmas will be ruined if no TTCs available.

    Shocking afternoon here too [:'(]

Had a run in with a guy at work. He's telling me to do something, I'm saying we have no contractual commitment to do so. His response is 'I have a call with x (ie teh CEO) in 20 minutes, if you think you have a problem now, wait until he gets involved'!

Talk about intimidation. Fortunately I know I'm right and there were others on the call to back my story but I still ended up in tears in my bosses office - and I'm normally pretty hard faced. Boss now wants me to put in formal complaint to ethics / HR about his behaviour as he should know better than expect finance to do thinks on such orders without following due process (We're a US company and after Enron etc people have ended up in prison for 'following orders'.)

I'm feeling better now home and have had wine but he made me so angry?

Well, apparently even in the Civil Service you can be. I work for the Home Office, and these are their procedures (although all the warnings are discretionary, it's just that my boss is a bastard):

Stage 1 - 6 absences or 12 days in rolling 12 month period - Written Warning valid for 6 months

Stage 2 - further 2 absences or 4 days within 6 months - Final Written Warning

Stage 3 - any further absence within next 12 months - Dismissal or other penalty

I have already drafted my appeal against the formal Written Warning . . . even though my manager hasn't yet sent me the letter
