Share your wedding dreams

The Sock Chicken, 1 August, 2008 at 22:30 Posted on Planning 0 10

I have recently seen a few people posting their weird wedding dreams so here is the chance to share them all together.

I have started having them already despite having 2 years to go!

Most recent one..............

It was still now, with 2 years to go, but I was wearing my wedding dress....everywhere! My h2b was there too but just in normal clothes and we were just doing normal everyday things. The dress wasn't laced up properly and therefore didnt pull me in, and I looked really fat in it, infact I looked awful! The dress was getting really dirty and h2b was concerned it might get ripped too and was trying to make me take it off. But I reassured him that it was ok, as that was just the shop sample and I was only borrowing it until my dress came in! How bizarre!

I had one a few weeks ago that I'd turned up to the wedding without the wedding rings and that I'd left them in our old house we moved out of in December. I was getting really panicked in the dream and trying to persuade my dad we had to break in(!) because they were in a box under the bed - we hadn't even bought the rings when we lived there!

I did post mine the other day but...

It was the day of the weddin and there were about 45 mins to go until the actual ceremony, but neither my hair or make up lady had turned up.

I was crying so hard in my dream, I felt miserable when I woke up.

I have had two wedding dreams this week, neither of them i can remember in any detail but last night during the dream all i could hear was that bloody annoying advert for moonpig.com.

every so often there would be 'moooooooonpiiiiiiiiiig' really annoying me. This morning, i told OH and he fell about laughing and is threatening to have that playing as I walk down the aisle!

I had one a while ago about my sister youngest girl being there. Which she's no even due to be born until the 16th of this month!!! But I dreamt what she looked like and what her name was. Neither of which are likely to be true though!

But also in my dream none of us had our proper attire on and half of the guests didn't turn up.

I expect there will be more to follow as it gets closer.

I haven't had a wedding dream for ages so this thread must have jinxed me as I had a horrible one last night.

Firstly in the dream I couldn't even remember the ceremony, not one tiny bit, so I was really upset that I didn't have any memory of it even just after it happened. Then I realised we didn't even exchange rings as we didn't have any, then we didn't have a top table and we were just sat in amongst guests. Nobody did a speech. The staff kept forgetting about my meals which were awful anyway. Lisa (lisaloulou) was sat at the other table crying for some reason so I spent most of my time comforting her! My wine charms as favours had been binned by the staff even before people had finished with their glasses (this part definitely comes from Nona saying to me yesterday about making sure the staff didn't bin them).

I woke up really upset and worried.

I had two really strange ones... one was so bad it made me cry for days and not speak to my Hubby. The other made me laugh for days.

Scary one - Idreamt I was at my wedding, everything was as I planned it, colours, flowers, readings etc but there was one major problem... I WASN'T THE BRIDE! My husband was marrying somebody else, my best friend. It was soo strange. I knew it was a dream and that I would wake up but for some reason I didn't allow myself to object, I 'knew' in my dream, he was happier with her. When I woke up I saw him laying next to me, slapped him and started to cry. Luckily he understood and didn't mind me slapping him while he was fast asleep! hehehe.

Funny one - I dreamt, again, that everything was the way I had planned it, except just as I was about to walk down the aisle, there was a comotion when all the flowers did a Doctor Who type vanishing act. I had to carry something down the aisle so I grabbed the nearest thing to me, and as the church hall was full of those windmill things you get at Scarborough front(!!!), my wedding was in the Yorkshire Dales, I had to use one fo them. But everytime it stopped going around the music stopped and my Dad had to blow on it again to get the music started! hehehe.

Everybody I told about the second dream couldn't stop laughing. Guess what I saw in the church on our wedding day - yes you guessed it, a friggin' scarborough style windmill!!
