Shoe dilemma! FLASH

nemi, 14 March, 2014 at 16:58 Posted on Planning 0 6

I am doing my wedding on a budget as cheap as possible as we don't have much money!

I have been looking for some shoes to wear for the big day. I wanted a lowish heel and a strap across the top so I don't have to worry about my feet falling out of them at an awkward moment.

I have found the perfect pair and I am totally in love with them. The problem is they cost £80 (I have never in my life spent that much on shoes) and I have looked a lot online trying to find a cheaper pair that look similar but with no luck!

Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can find cheaper ones? Or am I worrying too much? Should I just bite the bullet as I will be comparing all other shoes to them now I have found them!

Help!!

They are very retro in style, have you considered vintage shoes? I know some people are icky about that, but I've seen very similar styles on ebay and etsy.

I would definitely get a cheaper pair, but it depends what your priority is. Its a lot of money for a pair of shoes you'll only wear for 8hrs! Most charities have specialist bridal charity stores- British heart foundation, Oxfam, farah etc They don't always just have 2nd hand either, sometimes end of range new stock. Its a long shot, but if there is one near you, it might be worth a look. Not sure if you like these?

    £50 on ebay

If the budget is really really tight maybe keep looking. But if your heart is set on them and theyll make you feel like a princess go for it, you only get to do this once x

I have bought my shoes out of my own money, but I will wear mine again. My shoes are either £65 or £85 not decided which pair I want yet.

Dont go over budget if you really can't afford it. How much will they sell for afterwards? X

    What about these... http://shoelovesyou.co.uk/shop/lola-ivory/

The website is end of line stock from Rachel Simpson so they're absolute bargains x
