Shoe Help!!!

pom-pom, 6 October, 2009 at 09:32 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hello lovely fellow wedding planners

I am having a shoe dilemma!

Now my dream shoe is a t-bar patent 1920s style shoe preferably in ivory (you would think they would be easy to find!!) but nothing!!

I have seen some BEAUTIFUL Hassall and Rachel Simpson vintagey ones but these are all a bit out of my price range. Ideally I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something which you can't really see. I also don't want sling backs as these always slip off, or peep toes. Am getting married in March so would ideally like to be able to wear tights.

If anyone has any inspiration I would be so grateful for any help!!

Thanks so much.

Mary Janes are very much in at the moment but do they need to be patent??? you wouldnt settle for a satin or silk?

Well I wouldn't mind really (if they are pretty!) - am just worried they'll get dirty so quickly.

They get dirty regardless I'm afraid. Mine are all watermarked from the wet grass but I know how to clean them and I might still dye them.

Whats your price range? Rainbow for example do a Harriet shoe at about £65..

thats your average 'cheap' price for a wedding shoe but theres many sites to look at, i'll keep hunting for you Smiley smile

£65 would be ok, probably as much as I'd want to pay though. They are quite pretty thank you.

    They are really really high!!

I have been ebaying. I saw a really lovely pair on there but only in a 4 and I'm a 6. I think I will take your advice and just try googling mary jane wedding shoes till I find 'the ones!'

O wow I love it!! Am in shoe heaven.

I have just under 6 months to go but the dress comes in December and I would ideally like to have them before then.

Thanks so much for your help!
