SHOES!!

jlew80, 24 April, 2009 at 10:23 Posted on Planning 0 8

I don't know what to wear on my feet. I can't wear heels at all, the last time I tried was for a wedding, they were only tiny heels but I had so many blisters, I couldn't dance or barely walk at the evening reception! Obviously I dont want this for my wedding when I will be on my feet all day!! I've tried those ballet type shoes that everyone is wearing, but they're not comfy either, now I'm at a loss, please help!!! Thanks

Wear whatever is comfy - even if that means trainers/plimsolls.

i am seriously thinking about wearing my white grey battered converse for the dancing....

I think you should try some proper wedding shoes like Rainbow/Else etc. as they are made specifically to be comfy and glam!

I've heard no end of brides buying an extra pair of shoes for the evening, then not bothering because their wedding shoes were comfortable.

I definitely think you should give them a go. If not M&S do some nice and comfortable (yet attractive) footglove shoes - i think they have some silver sandals in the range at the moment...they kiss your feet!

In boots they sell gel cushions to go under the balls of your feet which are pretty good (not perfect) at stopping them from aching. Also buy some gel plasters from there too. As soon as your feet start to feel like they are going to blister (or if you know where they are most likey to blister- little toes for me!) then put those on, They are fab!

I'm with Tahdah, there are some really comfy options out there, also might be an idea to "wear them in" around the gouse for a bit to get used to them on and break them in a bit.

I've seen wedding trainers in some bridal shops but they are basically just white trainers and still quite chunky.

I have a pair of Rainbow shoes and they really hurt me so I don't really agree that they are comfortable.

I do have a pair of black M&S footglove wedges and love them so definitely look in there. Or try Clarks.

Hi there. I think you need to think about spending a decent amount on shoes. Don't go for heels if they're not comfy. It's not worth it. Some of those cheap ballet pumps have no support at all. My advice would be to go for proper ballet shoes. For example Freed make them: https://www.freedoflondon.com/cat/catalog_details.php?prod_code=fb8l

Also if you go into a ballet shoe retailer, they can fit you properly, so that they are right. Obviously they will be completely flat, but they would mould to your feet so they should be comfortable.

Whatever shoes you were to get, wear them in. Most shoes will rub the first day. Wear them for half an hour, then build up gradually.

Hope that's been of some help. Might not be quite what you're after, but please remember, that if you have a long wedding dress, then no one's going to see your shoes anyway!

Faith have a bridal section with some flat shoes and also some lower heeled ones.

I think the flat ones are lovely. BHS also had a flat pair too.

i have rainbow ones and they have a v low heel - Bodini - very pretty and are comfy - tho ask me again after next Saturday when I would have worn them all day!
