Shoes - does anyone know...?

Jumbly Girl, 6 January, 2010 at 21:00 Posted on Planning 0 9

....where I can find bridal shoes with a high, but not stiletto heel that aren't hideously ugly or ridiculously expensive and come in a normal size and not a pointy toe? Am I too fussy? ?

I'm really struggling. I'd seen some in Next (at someone on here's suggestion) pre-Xmas, but stupidly held off buying them and they've now sold out. I also like these:

http://www.faith.co.uk/ivory-leautib-bridal-shoe-prod216206/ and these http://www.harrietwilde.com/mable

But one is only available in a size 9 (I'm only a teeny 3.5) and the other is too expensive.

They have to be high, as I'm over a foot smaller than Jumbly Boy and look ridiculous standing next to him at the best of times. And they have to have a thicker (but not ugly thick) heel because I'm hoping, weather permitting, to be skipping joyfully hand in hand across the lawns of our venue on our wedding day and have visions of sinking in stilettos and getting stuck. So any help would, as always, be soooooo appreciated.

Aw thanks Shleby - they're lovely but I think the heel is still a bit too skinny for my venue's lawns [:'(] Thanks though!

If you can't find anything but stiletto's you could always try these heel protectors that stop you sinking?

Are these any good? They are quite plain but the heel is thicker.

Thanks, ladies, for all of your help. I am feeling a lot more inspired now and plan to get shopping soon. I promise a flash as soon as I get my grubby mitts on the perfect pair.
