Shoes have arrived. Would you be happy with them *flash*

MrsB2015, 26 November, 2014 at 10:34 Posted on Planning 0 23

so after the whole delivery issue and bad communication the shoes arrived. I'm really not happy. The large crystal is scratched, there is glue showing, gaps in the crystals, the soles had tissue stuck to the bottom. For £170 I think they should be better quality. Would you agree?

Xx

As a shoe lover, and someone who often pays that price for shoes, I would definitely be unhappy if I received something with that type of issue. Even if you had paid £70 rather than £170, I would still be a tad peeved.

Such a shame - I love red shoes!

Crystal shoes aren't really my kind of thing but what is important is how they look compared to the advertised version. Do you have a photo or a link to the original ad showing what your expectations were? In the e-mail they have asked what you want the resolution to be so can you not just get a refund if you aren't happy with them?

I'm so sorry you are still having trouble with this company! I would not be at all happy with the quality of those shoes regardless of the price. But what I'd be more annoyed at is their response to your email. Their customer service is shocking! I think I'd have to send them back for a refund and look elsewhere. I really hope you get it all sorted out x

Urgh, the customer service from this place is disgusting! The big crystals are stored together so will get scratched? Erm, no, they are the main stone on a pair of very expensive shoes, you either improve the quality so they don't scratch or you at least store them individually or wrapped! I would be kicking off big time

It really doesn't matter what amount you paid for these shoes, if they are not in immaculate, NEW, condition and you are happy to send them back then I would do so. However, if you don't want to send them back - could they offer you some money off as they are clearly not top condition?

£170! No I would not be happy at all, it is a very poor quality job and they look like a child has put the crystals on. Their response is ridiculous. I would state they are of very poor quality, the crystals should not be scratched (who would want something brand new that is scratched?), the crystals should be evenly applied and there should not be any glue showing. For these reasons you will be returning them and this has caused you to lose faith that another pair would be any different, they are not sold as described and you would like a full refund.

I wouldn't be happy with them, especially at that price and I think them making all those excuses just makes it worse.

My first argument would be that as they are wedding shoes they need to be perfect.

My photographer took pics of me putting my shoes on etc before I left the house (and before had a chance to scuff the soles), the tissue on the bottom will show in any pictures like this.

If they expect the main stone to be scuffed due to the way they're stored then they have a real problem as it's not acceptable and the way they store them is their problem, not yours. A product should be perfect when the customer receives it and this includes not having glue showing or crystals missing.

I've bought crystal embellished heels back in the day and they were packed carefully and not a single stone was out of place or missing.

I'd be asking for a full refund if they can't promise to send you a perfect pair of shoes.

If you're not 100% happy with them send them back. After all the hassle you've had you really don't need to compromise on this. For £170 you should be totally happy. They certainly don't have the finish of an expensive shoe.

Their customer service is really bad. Personally i wouldn't want to buy anything of them even if the shoes were perfect.

I couldn't agree more - I've just caught up with your previous thread on the delivery fiasco and it is utterly appalling! Complain, complain, complain, demand to speak to the most senior person you can and get a full refund, include all the documentary evidence you've shown us on here.

    This is true customer disservice.

I've also just seen your previous thread about the delivery communication. And those shoes look nothing like the Charlie & Co website pics of their shoes. They don't look like Swarovski crystals either - they look like the cheap ones I bought to stick on my table numbers. £1.99 for a pack of 200. Statement shoes like that need to be perfect.

Interesting that there aren't many bad reviews but the ones that are say their customer service is terrible. I would ask for a refund and then hit them where it hurts on social media - facebook and twitter. Jenna Dwyer (the Australian who owns the company) is all over both of them.

It must be so disappointing as you must have been so excited waiting for the shoes to arrive.

Absolutely no way would I accept those, oh poor you there's nothing worse than being excited about something and it not being what you expected. It doesn't matter what they cost, it looks really shoddy workmanship and you won't be happy with them on your wedding day. I'd say what Soybean above said, ask for a full refund and find yourself some beautiful new shoes. Hope you manage to sort it out, dreadful customer service!

They could have been fabulous statement shoes, but instead they look kind of tacky! What a shame! I would say they are NOT a fair representation of the shoes on their website and ask to return them for a refund.

I've just been on the website and their shoes look stunning. I definitely don't think these look like you would expect them to. I personally would be sending a message to every email address you can get hold of at the company until someone gives you a satisfactory answer

I would demand a full refund, tell them to stick their shoes where the sun doesn't shine and if they don't give you a full refund with p&p I'd go to citizens advice. I would also put those photos on their Facebook, give them an honest review and send a formal written complaint with Fao the manager on it and send them the photos and messages and say this is not acceptable. I'd also publish their message on their facebook If they don't sort the issue out ASAP. I would get shoes elsewhere

I would take the same pics of your shoes and screen shots of the website and put them side by side, so you. An see exactly what they should look like compared with what they do, and ask them to explain why the difference in quality, then ask for a full refund. I would be expecting much better quality and service for that amount. X

I really wouldn't be happy with these. As a crafter, I immediately see the following:

    * Seems to scrimped on gems as there are a lot of uneven gaps between the stone, including one seemingly missing by the large stone

    * The gems on the edges are not straight

    * The scratch on the large gem (it's crap about them getting scratched like that I store all my large gems in a box and none of them are scratched)

If I had made them myself then I would be pretty happy with them but not if I ordered them from somewhere, and particularly not at that price.

They have finally agreed to a refund. I got home from work and had a better look and found the bow to be like this. Avoid this company completly.

Blinkin eck these are dreadful, glad you managed to get it sorted though. I made myself a pair a couple of years back and they looked better than these for my first ever attempt.

I'm so glad you're getting a refund. They're shocking quality.

If I were you, I'd put a review on somewhere explaining that whilst you eventually got your miney back you had to practically fight for it despite the fact the shoes are clearly poor quality and nothing like they appear online.

I really think that the service you have received has been appalling. If I were you I would contact trading standards. Its false advertising, They should provide what is advertised on their website - which these are clearly not!

I would also tell them that you have tried until you are blue in the face to find a resolution to them and due to the disgusting way they have treated you and the poor quality of what has been provided you will be contacting trading standards and once you have received a full refund (including postage) you would like nothing further to do with them!

Gutted about your shoes though, I hope you find a good replacement.
