Shoes!! Should I? **With Flash**

~Curley~, 26 November, 2013 at 20:11 Posted on Planning 0 23

I am a shoe lover and always have been. It was a given that I would treat myself to a stunning pair of heels for the big day. Originally I had my heart set on a lovely pair of jimmy choo's but after reading reviews I didnt like the idea that i would have to get them re-heeled BEFORE i wear them to preserve the delicate soles!

Anyway the search continued (i have loads of time but shoe shopping is my fav past time). I have found these:

Im just not sure they will go with my dress....which is:

They are only £250 so a bargain compared to the jimmy choo's but still enough money that i wouldnt be able to get a new pair if i didnt like them without the OH killing me!

What do you think?

Any alternatives would be appreciated

?

I'm sure they'd go fine with that dress, but then I must be one of the few people not bothered if my shoes are matching or not ?
They're covered anyway most of the time so even more reason not to worry, but in my opinion they match Smiley smile

I love shoes too but am I the only person who doesn't see the point in spending £100's on shoes you will only wear once or twice?

these are like half the cost of my outfit nearly lol my most expensive shoes where a pair of boots that I wore every day for 2 years straight and they cost half of these lol

I am a shoe lover too I went to Bicester and bought a pair of Jimmy Choos, no people don't really see your shoes but its about how you feel and want to look. its like wearing nice underwear that no one will see but makes you feel good ha!! My choos were £160 a true bargain however I would have happily spent less as long as I loved the shoes.

They're very pretty! As no one will be looking at them unless you decide to flash them it doesn't matter if they match. Lots of brides on here have amazing colourful shoes with full length dresses.

I don't think your shoes have to match - I've got a fairly big traditional tulle type dress and am wearing navy blue sparkly shoes - they don't really'go' but i love them, they are comfy and i will wear them again!

When I looked into it (read a million reviews online and asked in Harrods) I was told that because the soles are so delicate it was best to get the resoled before you wear them!

Think this only applies if they have the cream/light leather soles. I've seen a few with dark/hard soles so they maybe ok

Apparently they scratch easily and can look very wore after just one wear. I would google it for more info

After much deliberation and changing minds!

ive decided I'm treating myself to Jimmy choos! When else will I be able to splash that cash on shoes!

i live in heels anyway so will definitely where them more than once/twice!

first time I'm hearing about getting them re-soled though not like that will put me of!

Everyone has different values of money, so what you spend on shoes is not really relative to the OPs dilemma.

I think they are beautiful, and will go with your dress well.

Kurt Geiger have lovely shoes! Shoes of Prey is a great website too, where you can design your own shoes!

They are nice, but I agree that £250 is excessive.

I got mine for £90 from Dune - perhaps look in outlet stores? Kurt Geiger have a store at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth, so don't know if there is anything like that near you?

I actually think they look a bit cheap, and if you're spending that kind of money I guess that's not the look you're going for. ?

I sort of agree, sorry!! I have seen similar shoes like this for A LOT less. For £250 you could really get something that looks it, probably even more so. Jenny Packham shoes are cheaper and look nicer IMO. Hope I haven't offended you ?

I have Choos and one of the soles is darker than the other as it was display shoe. The lady in the shop said I could get it resoled if I wanted but it would remove the Jimmy Choo writing on the bottom. She didnt mention anything about the heels or delicate nature though.x

I agree that there are a lot of the crystal shoes around but I don't think that matters if you love them. That's the first pair I've seen in that colour (which I love) and I think makes them a bit more special!

Im about 2 hours away! May wait a while and then have a shuffle down when i have some extra pennies to spend....as its a long way to go just for a pair of shoes I may not end up finding.

I do love the shoes but as MOH pointed out it will be summer and hot (IT WILL BE HOT MR WEATHER MAN!?) so may be better off wit strappy sandals

Thanks for they help guys ?

And if anyone hears of a jimmy choo sale (I wish) let me know! lol
