Shoes... where did you find yours? *flash*

CLAIREYFAIRY2, 1 October, 2010 at 16:49 Posted on Planning 0 30

Hi All,

I am looking for shoes but am struggling, I love these Benjamin Adams one, but my dress is a champagne colour so am not sure if they'll go.

This is my dress so you can see what I mean

I also like these ones from the Rainbow Club website, which I assume they can dye to match the dress, but I much prefer the sparkly ones, I just don't know if they go with my dress! What do you ladies think, and where have you all looked for and found shoes?

Not sure the first ones would go tbh. I got mine from the now departed Faith, but Dune have some gorgeous ones as well. I really like your dress, I'd have thought gold sparkly ones might work better than silver if you're keen?

Hi, Im getting mine handmade and hand decorated as I wanted a pair of shoes that I couldnt find anywhere.. I have found a superb woman to do my shoes she has a website which is www.colourmeclodhoppers.co.uk

Mine are only costing me around the £200.00 mark which I think for handmade/hand decorated shoes in my specific colour etc is really pretty good!

    Hope this helps x.

I got mine from shoes.co.uk but then they aren't your ordinary wedding shoes! I then blinged them up myself.

Lovely dress! Mine is a similar shade (although they call it light gold) and I'm having navy blue shoes with it, from Clarks:

These are mine -they are Diane Hassall. I saw them in a brochure in a wedding shop and fell in love with them. My dress is also champagne and my shoes are ivory and I think they go really well. I think you need to be careful with that colour of dress - I originally bought a gold tiara but it was far too yellow looking next to the dress so I had to get a silver one instead.

I think gold tones would go better with the dress than silver, but If you love those ones doesn it really matter? I'm having sparkly shoes from loveburlesque.com. They have loads of glittery and sparkly shoes. Have you thought of trying coloured shoes to match your BMs?

Here are mine (any excuse for a flash)

Thanks all, I shall look round a bit more in all the places you've suggested, I really do want sparkly shoes, I'm going back to the bridal shop in a fortnight so maybe they will have something sparkly I can try there with the dress. I'm also off to Earls Court tomorrow for the wedding show so maybe I will find some there!! You've all got fantastic taste in shoes!!

I almost bought those, Natalie, but realised the buckle would catch on the bottom of my dress so went for my plain slingbacks instead.

I think you made the right choice. I find that JC's are much more comfortable than CL's for a whole day spent on your feet.

There is some major shoe porn going on here, i may have to go and get a cuppa in a mo to calm down lol!!!

I can't do heels either so i have these, which i happen to think are rather delightful. I stumbled upon them in the back of oh's GQ magazine of all places!!!

I loved these too...and was tempted to get the blue ones just cause they were so pretty ...and not for the wedding as already have those. They were on sale a couple of months ago in Debenhams. What size are you? Incase I see them again...will keep an eye out for you.
