Bikinis (lots of them), flip flops, beach bag, hat, some evening skirts or dresses....

Are you going to be diving? My sister and her hubby went to the Maldives as it's the best place in the world for diving, so she took her diving stuff.

    Bikinis and sun screen.

    That should do it!!!

Flip flops, reading stuff, sun glasses, sun hat. And some light evening clothes.

I've been told to only take 2 pairs of flip flops including the pair you wear there! (one eveningy, one day). Taking a few bikinis, lots of suncream, books, light dresses/skirts for evening and a couple of vests and skirts for the day. That's about it! Probably the least I'll ever take on holiday I think!

Which underwater camera did you get for your friend. We're going to the maldives in three weeks and i'm not sure which one to get?

I am going next monday! Going to Dubai first though, so have had to pack a bit more.

But for maldives as said in other posts but dont forget:

    insect repellant!
umbrella for any showers when we want to go for soemthing to eat.
torch so you can see back to accomodation at night, paths are not known to be lit well.
    very good suncream
snorkelling gear_we taking mask and snorkel, going to hire flippers
we got disposable cameras from boots. BOGOF.
will have a look at my list to see if there is anything else.

Hiya ? you must be so excited, it is getting so near!

I definitely would not buy Tesco ones again, we went swimming with Manta Rays and our pics came out so dark you could hardly make them out. Luckily we went with two other couples and one of those (who had a Kodak Camera) sent us copies of their photos so we have some of us with the Manta's after all ?

Like others have said, you really don't need as much as you think! I know I have already given you my tips for Royal Island but just to add to the above, you don't need a beach bag, they have them in the villas, they also have umbrella's in each villa and dotted around the island incase of quick downpours. Take a few books as you will get through them, but there is a library if you run out!

I just wore sarongs or skirts/shorts and vest tops over my bikini's during the day, and floaty dresses in the evening, all with flip-flops!

The two biggest tips I can give you is get down to Argos and buy a camera tripod for your camera. We got ours for less than £10 and we used it loads. It was so nice being able to take loads of photographs of us together, without having to keep asking other people to take our picture.

Other tip is to send your self a post card! They take ages to arrive from the Maldives and one day when you are home and when everything is back to normal, your post card will arrive reminding you of the wonderful time you both shared on your honeymoon. Soppy I know ?

Thanks MrsK, we really are so excited now. Got quite a bit done recently, so pressure is off too (although still a bit to be done of course!).

Didn't realise your pics had been taken with a tripod, I had no idea! It really looks like someone took them for you. Will definitely have to buy one. ?

We also took lilo's! So glad we did now as we spent most of the time lying on the sea. They are so expensive out there
