Shops returns - Primark specifically

jaz, 17 October, 2008 at 09:48 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

Yesterday in Primark and bought quite a lot (only went in for socks ?) and in the process tried on a coat very quickly (had a big basket and a few bags and was in a rush so couldn't really take a lot of time) in the middle of the shop - it was a wide coat so just tried it to make sure it went over my arms really in the size. I bought it and intended to wear it today and in my rush pulled off the tags and threw it on only to realise 4 of the 8 huge buttons are missing. I still have the receipt and the pulled off tags - do you think they'll take it back? I know I could take it and see but the shop I bought it in is about 40 miles away and the other nearest one is about 20 miles (not sure if they allow you to return to a different store anyway)

Or would you just go and buy 8 big buttons and make a new coat?

I know it's only primark but it was £17 ? ?

I think I'd just buy new buttons rather than faff around. I've no idea if they'd exchange it or not, you could ring tham and ask saves you a trip if they say 'no'.

Hello there - i am a lurker but very rarely post - want to say hi before i reply (hope you don't mind!) ?

Primark are generally pretty good at letting you return stuff. I have returned a bag before as the zip broke and there were no problems getting my money back. Also a pillow, once i'd got home and removed the tags from it the zip was busted but they let me exchange it.

I don't think there will be a problem for you. ?
