Shorter wedding dress for Greek wedding

Nanoushka, 3 April, 2013 at 11:37 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 5

I am looking for a shorter wedding dress for my wedding in Greece but most of the conventional shops I am looking at have full length and are very full. It is a simple, low key affair so nothing too fussy or flouncy and not short but mid calf as I will be climbing into a boat and there will be some walking and uneven ground etc.

I would rather try on than order online, does ayone have any good sources please?

I live in Essex, work in London by the way.

Have you tried Monsoon and Coast for wedding dresses? They have a variety of lengths and styles and all very reasonable prices, and I think would travel well too.

Yes,she is right, there are a lot of choices.

Maybe you can let guys on store "avivadress" recommend you several dresses that may flatter you.

The dress can be custom-made,tea length or knee length, all will be okay.

If you have beautiful pics already for the bridal gown, the dress maker can produce the dress according your requests and your pic.

Good luck! You big day must be wonderful....

    Remeber to post pics...??

Yes I did try both but the shop did not have much in stock and suggested I order online. I have found a few shops selling prom dresses and bridesmaid dresses but I really don't like the satin, taffeta and chiffon materials so may go down the route of having something made in ivory silk. I will keep looking tho!

Have a look at so sassi 'bonnie' by Charlotte Balbier. Not sure what your budget is but I saw this after I bought my dress and thought this would be perfect for a destination wedding. I am also getting married abroad.

Thanks Ivana. Do you know how much the dress is? I have found a shop in Colchester who stock Charlotte Balbier (cannot see the dress on their website) but no prices?

    Thanks
