Hello i'm new here and wanted some advice. i have my wedding dress http://www.kimlybridal.com/mori-lee-bridal-collection-style-2520-lustrous-satin-with-embroidery-p-1755.html and my shrug http://www.benjaminroberts.co.uk/images/products/esmejcm.jpg my mum would really like me to wear a mini veil, i just wondered what you's thought, is it going to be too much..... i'm getting married in Barbados. Thanks for any advice given.

Love the dress and the shrug but i think a veil added in would be too much. If it were me id either for go the veil or the shrug and id probably just opt for the dress and veil as you don’t want to detract from the gorgeous dress.

Thanks, i'm thinking along the same lines, don't want to be too overdone. I have a feeling i may have to try them anyway just to prove to my mum that it looks wrong hehe. Dawn

I think it would probably be too much but a birdcage veil may work.

Worth trying and that way you can prove either way.

Would you not be that extra bit toasty in a bolera/shrug in Barbados?? I would have thought you would want to enjoy the warm sun on your shoulders! I'd go for dress and veil if I were getting married outside in the sun.

I also think that a birdcage veil doesn't necessarily match all wedding dresses as it has a certain vintage vibe to it.

Yeah, agree to that. A dress and veil would look great but maybe a shorter veil at 27 inches?

I'm going for a different look and the shrug isn't warm, also getting married late afternoon. it looks lovely with the dress. i think i will just leave the veil. thanks though.
