side salad help

Zooropa, 24 May, 2009 at 14:04 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I''m going to a bbq tomorrow and have been asked to take the side salad. I don't usually eat salad - would a bag of mixed leaves be ok or would you expect something more?

I'd at the bare minimum throw some cucumber and tomato in there with the leaves and take a bottle of viniagrette.

Any of cherry tomatoes/sliced peppers/cucumber/avacado would go nicely. You'd need to chop the avacado when you get there though or it will go brown. How many people are going to be there? You may need more than one bag of salad leaves if there are more than 4.

If you have extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and some wholegrain mustard these can just be mixed to make a dressing, rather than buying one.

Thanks for the replies - sounds rather easy then ? I'll give the dressing ago as I have those things.
