Signature! My current name is swirly, my new name will be pointy!

MrsV-wasMissB, 12 June, 2015 at 10:40 Posted on Planning 0 15

So my current name has Os, B, C, S, and a few other nice curvy letters.

So my new name will have V, R, N, E, and other liney letters! I've practised for months now and whilst urrent sig is swirly and beautiful, any attempt on "new" on is horrid and pointy and BLURGH!

    So your choices are:

    1. suck it up. Many names don't have curly letters in them and people manage to sign fine

    2. don't change your name

Thank goodness that one was easily solved, eh?...

But I love my curly letters and signature!! :'( Farewell old signature...... farewell!!

Maybe I can still sign my current sig but with new name!

I've had a genius idea. Why don't you tell your hubby to be to take on your lovely swirly surname? Problem solved. You're welcome.

Lol! This has made me chuckle! I've just changed from a pointy name to a curly one - I do prefer my new signature. In reality you use it very little - don't worry about it.

    Precisely my thoughts.

Ive been married 6 months and haven't even got round to changing my name yet, let alone practised my new signature.

Try not to lose too much sleep over it.

Huh, never actually given this much head space, but since you mention it........

You're stressing about nothing. I'm assuming you don't write the entire name in capitals? In which case, th R N and E, become nice curly lower case r n and e. You can even round th v a little if you like.

    Prolem solved, over and out!

    .....Next!

Haha I know exactly what you mean, I am going from B.N and Es to H,C,K,R.

I've only had a couple of goes and my new signature kept morphing into my old one.... I had had a few drinks at the time though!

I figure its like most things, I'll get used to it in time. I'm 26 and my own signature is rarely the same everytime. So long as its in the same style people dont care...

I'm the same - going from a nice curly short name to a longer pointier name! Will feel very odd when it comes to it. I've got just over a year to go. Hadn't thought of practising too much yet - might put that one off for a while!
