Silly Question About Rings!

Evening All,

I hope you're all enjoying the snow. I love it & really hope it stays for Saturday. I can't remember the last time we had a White Christmas. Anyway, I'm getting mega excited about the wedding now that we are nearly in 2011 & things are getting done. Even more so that my amended engagement ring and wedding ring are being sent off for hallmarking next week. (Any excuse to flash!)

My diamond won't be added to the engagement ring until it comes back from the Assay Office. The prongs may look a little long at the moment but they will be shortened once the diamond is being set.

To the actual question - on the Big Day, what do I do with my engagement ring? Do I not wear it at all or can I wear it on that finger? It may seem like a silly question but I honestly have no idea!

I'm planning on not wearing mine at all so the finger is bare, i think it will make more of a statement that way iyswim?

You can wear it but on another finger. Once you get out the ceremony you can put the two together again.

Just wear it on the ring finger of your right hand. Try and remember to swap it over while you're getting ready. It would be a bit tricky if you got to the top of the aisle, suddenly remembered and then couldn't get it off, or even worse, had shakey hands and dropped it......! It would be a shame not to wear it at all because it then wouldn't be in any of your wedding pics. Most photographers take a 'ring' picture!

I'll be wearing mine on the other hand, then I can put it on with my wedding ring once we're married

You could either wear it on your right ring finger or give it to your MOH to look after. Mine fits on my right hand so that's what I'm going to do, but I'm MOH for my sister in a couple of months and her right hand must be a lot bigger than her left and her ring doesn't fit on her right hand! I'll be wearing it on my right hand middle finger until they leave the church and I'll give it straight back for photos.

Ooh I'm glad someone asked this because I was wondering too, I think I'll put mine on my right hand and then swap it over...I can't imagine not wearing it at all
