Silly question re bridesmaid dresses

I don't think your being silly as I had this same thought last week.

My bridesmaid dresses will be a similar style to mine. My dress is a fill lenghth A-Line so I will be putting my girls in a full length dress. The top part of my dress (boobie area, lol) will be filled with pearls and bits, the material then kinda wraps across. I will be having a similar style for my girls but without the pearls and bits. I will also be having a little jacket made for me but my girls will have pashmeinas (spelt that wrong) that match their dress.

Best way and what I done was print a pic of my dress then put it up againt BM dresses to see if it looked OK x

YES!! definatly!! the colour, style and cut should compliment your dress style otherwsie it can have a mismatched effect :/

Thanks for your replies and good to know I'm not silly thinking about it!! That's a really good idea to print them out and put them next to each other, will def do that, think I might do a bit of a flash on here later so you can see the actual dresses. So are your bridesmaids having a similar style dress to you?

I dont think it matters too much to be honest. As long as you dont go for completely different styles iykwim.

I'm having a satin A-line dress, my BM's are having chiffon floor-length floaty dresses. So they arent the same at all but they will look lovely.

no, but with me it was more about the colour...my dress is pink! also, if your dress has a bit fo detailing, like lace, or pearls, or crystals, you might want to pic this up in the B< dresses, or go with somethign that compliments that!

Ok oops, all the dresses are pretty different including the material. To be honest I'd not really thought about the different styles and whether it would go until now! I was just thinking about their body shapes & my budget!! Think a flash this evening is definitely in order to get opinions. Wish I'd thought about this more!!!

The above link will be my bridesmaid dresses. Although I may make a few changes as I will be having them made but genrally this is the syle I want. The colour will be oyster for the BM's and I have gone for an off white ivory for my colour x
