silly wedding quotes or sayings

Alisha.B, 20 November, 2013 at 21:15 Posted on Planning 0 11

Have you heard or even over heard something that made you giggle... the share it here so we can all join in

one I just heard is:

'Everyone has a big dress, I couldn't have a small dress that's so different so I have to have a big dress so I stand out'

so much contradiction in such a short sentence lol

another one I love is:

'marriage is grand, divorce is a hundred grand'

love it and want to use it some how ?

p.s... needless to say this is meant to be fun so no personal attacks on people

I had someone ask me how long I have left till the wedding & then after I answered they replied 'ah, they take so long to plan & so little time to fall apart'.

Bless him, he very quickly backtracked and said that he just married the wrong person & I should ignore him as he was sure it would all work out well... I didn't really know what to say!

    Surely the winner will be:

    You get less for murder.

Carrie Bradshaw- "How do you feel about being my bridesmaid?"

Samantha Jones- "The same way you feel about Botox, painful and unnecessary!"

Here's one I hear at every wedding, "don't worry you have plenty of time" - this is when the makeup isn't finished and the lace-up dress isn't on and its 5 minutes before you are due to leave. The exact scenario will change but it will always be "don't worry you have plenty of time".

The great Zar Zar Gabor (hopefully im not showing my age!- for those who dont know, she had many marriages to millionaires and lots of divorces!)

    • “I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house.”

    • Having been engaged rather a lot of times, Zsa Zsa Gabor was asked whether a lady should give back the ring. Her answer?
"Of course dahlink, but first, you take out all the diamonds.”

Well it made me smile lol!

It's good luck for it to rain on your wedding day. I think that was created to make soggy brides feel better!

A man who was married for almost 50 years was asked what they secret of his long marriage was. He said, "Well for our 20th Wedding Anniversary, I took her to Italy."

He was then asked what he was going to do for his 50th. "Bring her back," he said.

Heard that from the vicar during the sermon of my friends' wedding.

When I joked to my lovely boss that it would probably rain on my wedding day (because it is a bank holiday) he said "a wet knot never comes undone". Which i thought was rather sweet.
