Skincare help

Lottie2409, 16 January, 2014 at 09:48 Posted on Planning 0 14

My skin is looking so dull and grey at the moment so im hoping you lovely ladies can recommend some good products to get my skin glowing in time for our November wedding. I've got slightly oily skin and tend to get a few stress spots around my chin. I normally just use whatever face wash is on offer in Tesco but at 32 i feel its time I should start looking after it a bit better! Any suggestions for wonderful products?

Thanks x

    This:

Ole Henriksen - invigorating night gel

Created to work in synergy with your body’s natural repair system, this oil-free lightweight gel contains a concentrated complex of alpha hydroxy acids that will help you wake up to a brighter, more luminous complexion. Nourishing and remineralizing vitamins and botanicals help to hydrate the deepest layers of the skin, while smoothing and refining the surface texture for noticeably firmer and smoother skin.

    ingredient benefits

Algae extract Nourishes the skin with vitamins and minerals
Alpha hydroxy acid complex Renews skin cells, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, soothes texture and balances skin tone. Regulates overactive sebaceous glands to minimize blemishes
Mucopolysaccharrides Binds moisture to the skin and provides superior hydration
    paraben free

    formulated without:
    • Parabens
    • Sulfates
    • Phthalates
I use it every night under my moisturiser and I think it's amazing - does what it says. If you're after a new cleanser I would recommend Liz Earle.

    Hi,

I would strongly recommend Liz Earle especially the cleanser called Cleanse and Polish and the entire range is very good. Also elemis, a bit more expensive but you only use a little. Both these ranges are on special offer deals of collection on QVC so can be good to try as they can be returned if you dont get on with them. I have no complaints about either range as they are both fantastic. bare minerals make up is great too and you can get a consultation free in debenhams, john lewis os boots. Both myself and my daughter used it for her wedding and we looked flawless.

    hope that helps

    Lynne

Thanks Everyone. I've heard good things about Liz Earle so might give it a try. Have started trying to drink more water as I normally only drink tea at work so hopefully i'll see some improvement soon ?

I'm another vote for Liz Earle products!

I started with an Essential Try-Me kits, that contains the cleanser, toner, moisturiser and eye lotion. They are brilliant! I then when on to buy the full size cleanser and toner! My skin has never looked better!

    I highly recommend the products!

I have a session every 3 months called Skin Base at the Beauticians which is a dermabrasion taking off the dead skin cells which dull the skin over time. It's then followed with a non-surgical face lift which tightens all the muscles and stops sagging. I've been having this for about 10 years now and couldn't live without it! It keeps changing its name to something different as time goes by but it's the same procedure. My salon charges £37 and it's worth every penny.

Regarding Liz Earle, I've tried a few of her products. If you have greasy skin or prone to breakouts and, more importantly if you have sensitive skin, do buy a sample first to try before plunging for the full size. I bought their moisturiser for sensitive skin which is hailed all over the internet as amazing but it was far too rich for me and brought me out in big horrid lumps. One product I can highly recommend of theirs is the soothing eye lotion which gets rid of puffiness and irritation.

If you are thinking of trying the Liz Earle 'Cleanse & Polish', ASDA do a similar one by Nspa called 'Hot Cloth Polish' and I've now switched from the Liz Earle to this as I find it actually suits my skin better. I think it is £8 but they often have either two for £8 or 3 for £10 deals on it. I have really dry skin though and this buffs off the dry skin but doesn't seem to strip the oils out.

How long did you ladies use Liz Earle for before seeing results? I have 10 weeks to my wedding. Is it too late?
