Sky Plus help - settings confused by clocks changing

alison76, 29 October, 2008 at 21:22 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

Help!

Our sky plus is all confused. When you look at program information as you flick channels, the time is correct.

However, when you look at the TV planner page i.e. where you list what you're recording and have recorded, the time showing for programs to be recorded is still an hour ahead.

i.e. - it's supposed to be recording Heroes now, but no little red lights. When we checked, it says it's not on until 10pm.

Anyone any ideas how we fix this?

Thanks.

Either switch it off at the wall and start it up again.

    Record it manually for now

We've had this happen in the past and 'sometimes' it still records them but to be on the safe side we deleted them from the planner and then added them again

I noticed this yesterday, but it was only showing wrong for The Restuarant which I had series link, it had it starting at 9.00 instead of 8.00. I deleted it from the menu and went back in & pressed R again. It then showed as 8pm start.

Thanks to you both. I double checked the start of prison break last night (after it messed up on Tuesday) and had to cancel the recording and re-do it manually.

I'll get my husband to do the switch off and on at the wall - if I do it, it's bound to go wrong and be my fault! ?

We have a PVR and had the same problem. The box updates the time but doesn't for the programs set to record before the clocks changed so everything recorded an hour wrong. We deleted all program set to record and then selected them again. It didn't do it this year - we think it was sorted with a software upgrade we did a few months ago.

It'll probably be worth seeing if there is a software update for your sky box. We had to leave ours on standby overnight at a certain time to get it.

Ours did this last year. We had to delete everything yet to record from the planner and put it back in again.

We forgot about it this year, but everything I had in the planner has recorded OK, so we must have had a software upgrade which fixed it.

Thanks again to you all. Ours is quite an old box now and we're looking at getting a system upgrade at some point soon.
