'Slight' problem chest related!!!

jem179, 18 February, 2010 at 11:25 Posted on Planning 0 15

OK so not quite sure how to word this so you might have to bear with me but how do I stop my b❤️❤️bs growing?

I have always had quite a big chest, been 34e for almost 5 years now (i'm 5'2") and because even as my weight has gone up and down it never changed I figured I would be ok to buy my wedding underwear last autumn when I'd ordered my dress (which I did). Then I lost a bit of weight and my back size moved to between a 32 and 34 depending on the style putting me between an e and an f. OK, no problem underwear still fits, bought some new everyday stuff all good. In the last 2 months I have lost another half a stone, but somehow (and here's the bit I don't understand) I've actually gone UP 2 cup sizes. I now have no underwear that fits and my beautiful wedding underwear gives me '4 boobs'

Has anyone else had a problem with a rapidly increasing chest? I also have a boudoir shoot booked for 5th March. I have managed to find some nice new (not too expensive) underwear but was hoping to do one set in my wedding underwear and now I have no idea what to do. I'm struggling to find anything white in my size now, really wanted a basque and everything seems to be ivory and everything is just sooo expensive!

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for here....any advice on making them smaller? lol I also have some new stretch marks that have appeared because they've grown so quickly but find bio oil takes ages to make them fade so any recs for making them fade before the wedding/hm would be great (they will be visible over the top of my dress [:'(]

    Hi jem ?

I know how you feel totally! I am 5'1" and 34E until i recently lost a bit of weight and they are now a whopping 34F! I always think that god was having a total laugh when he decided to plop those on someone whose just over 5ft lol.

Anyway in answer to your question bio oil is i think the best thing although i have to say i dont have any on my boobs but works wonders elsewhere. Have you tried a gradual tan moisturiser like dove etc, as can quite often make them appear less noticable.

On the underwear front have you tried somewhere like simply be? I hate buying underwear so much as i can never by off the shelf very often ☹️

Us big girls will often get the'give some to me' quip but let me tell you , you are more than welcome to them!! (think hubby may disagree) ?

    Good Luck xx

    Thanks girls

Naomi, I really wanted a basqu but can only find them online in my size and then soo expensive! Might have to go down the bra route...

Andrea, it really isn't funny is it! from losing weight my waist is now down to a 10, I'm convinced I'm going to start looking like a blow-up doll lol. I really love underwear and have always had quite a big collection which now doesn't fit!!! Never tried simply be, will have a look later though, thanks ?. I'd never considered gradual tan, I know fake tan always seems to make them stand out more...will give it a go, how long does it take to build the colour and does it ever go streaky??

I've had comments like that for ages, keep telling OH I want a reduction but he won't hear of it!!! I think that's more cos its such a big op though (at least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself). I honestly thought that if I lost weight they would get smaller but I'm now wearing 34ff/32g just really hoping they stop now!!lol

No its not!! I use the dove and also johnsons and they both work well. I use for about 3 to 4 days and as it builds up naturally it doesnt go streaky and smells nice to Smiley smile

I have a whole drawer of bras i cant wear, i may donate them to charity lol.

Deffo try simply be as they are quite reasonably priced to.

Im having a breast reduction in June!! ? Im a size 10 -12 and well my boobs are *cough* 32H/J *cough* lol!!

Cant wait until June to go down to a nice D cup! But it means that I cant order my dress until then . . .

You should go see your GP and moan and get it on the NHS like I am.

Sammi, I'd be really interested to see how you get on! I really want one, keep trying to hide how busty I am which is not good when you're so short. I'm nervous of something so major and would love to hear how it goes if that would be ok?

Personally i spent many years thinking about going under the knife and decided against it after learning all the facts. I also have a friend who was bigger than me and had surgery. Of course i wanted to know all about it and see the scars etc as i was thinking about doing the same and she too said at the time it was the best thing she ever did.

This was about 10 years ago now and if you asked her the same question she would absolutely say she regretted it. The scars were not very pleasant and she had trouble breast feeding. She also put on weight and is now exactly the same size as she was before the op!

So i think that it is a big decision to decide to have surgery.

i just decided to put up with my huge b❤️❤️bs and love myself how i am, but i completely understand why women do it!!!

I had a redction nearly 5 years ago now, since putting weight on it seems to go straight back onto my boobs and now the scars are in different places. Id be really careful if you plan this, yeah it is a big op and long recovery time but I was also 19 at the time when I had mine done!

Good luck Sammix, I went from a 34 G to a 34 D but now apparently im a 32E. Not that impressed to be honest and I got mine on the NHS and I hate my cleavage as the scars sit in different places on either side. Hope you get a better surgeon than I did! x

Of course it would be! ?

Ive just been given the go ahead from the clinical psychologist, so I get to have my pre op appointment soon so I will let you know how it goes!!

It is seriously worth considering, for me I am completely aware that it is a major operation, but I think it will be worth it (for me anyway). Two of my friends have had reductions and they both actually had smaller boobs than me - they were the ones that recommending me to go and make an appointment with my GP as they said it changed their lives (infact one of them told me the only regret that she had was that she wished she had gone even smaller! ?). I will be having the same surgeon! ? Which is reassuring.

As for the risks and the fact that my boobs will probably grow a lil more doesnt really phase me - im reducing them considerably so if I were to go up a cup size it wouldnt be much of an issue! I`d much prefer to have scars that will fade rather than continuing to have a life time of back ache, shoulder grooves, rude comments, difficulty in finding affordable and supportive underwear, swimwear and clothes in general aswell as the ability to participate in sport ( i looove netball ? lol!!). . . so that is why im determined to go ahead - for me the positive outcomes out weigh the bad. ?

Sorry for the looonng post!! Will keep you all updated.

O and thank you to those that wished me luck!

    Sammi xx
