Slimming World (again)

panda2011, 13 June, 2011 at 16:16 Posted on Planning 0 12

I joined slimming world last Thursday. How quickly do other people on it feel like they have started losing weight? Ok I know I was bad on Friday as I went to a ball but on my scales at home I actually weigh more now than I did a week ago. Help!!!!

You have only been on it for 4 days!!!

You should only weigh yourself once a week anyway. I would leave it till Friday morning now to get a true reading.

I know! I just need to feel like I am at least making progress, even if I'm only 1lb lighter. Impatient little madam that I am!

ha haa i know that feeling, but your water weight etc can fluctuate daily so dont be disheartened if its not a major loss. 1lb a week is a good goal.

Flow, that is awesome losing so much so quickly! Well done you ? That's the sort of weight loss I'm hoping for. If you don't mind me asking, how much are you hoping to lose in total?

How about keeping a track on your measurements too instead of placing everything on your weight loss? Your body may be changing without you realising because you're too worried about the lbs on the scale!

    Good luck reaching your goal!!!

4 stone in total, but started early so i dont have to be uber strict on myself but as i said, it becomes a way of life (its not a diet, i still stuff myself silly !! so maintaining the weight should be easier)

i should add i dont go the gym, i do 1 perhaps 2 fitness classes a week so the plan really does work!!

Thanks Flow, that is really interesting. I'm struggling to get my head around how much food I've been told ot eat as it seems like a huge quantity when I want to shift weight & not put on so it's good to hear from someone who is eating a lot but still losing ?

    WSS....

I'm another Slimming World fan. I've lost 3 stone so far :-)

Gym classes have helped too. Body Pump and Combat classes

I'm on Slimming World, (again!) But last time I was on it, I was losing about half a stone a month and started noticing a real difference after 2 months or so...

I'm back on it again and lost 6lbs in May, 2lbs last week but I had a bit of a blow out at the weekend and luckily i'm getting my hair done tonight! So I can't go to class...

Hopefully everything will be back on track for next Tuesday!

    WSS!!

Its not a sprint, its a marathon. You will see results and you really can eat a lot of food. I lost 4 stone on SW and I was never hungry. I'd say hide your scales and just get weighed at classes because they wont be the same as theirs anyway.

Keep at it, its the best eating plan ever. Get yourself a magazine and try some recipes the food is lovely. x
