Does anyone have any ideas how to speed up my computer, i've only had it since january and in the past month or so its started to run ever so slow.

I've not installed any new programmes / hardware. I'm wondering if recent hackings on here have got anything to do with it.

I've just run a full virus/spyware/adware check and the machine is clean. I've deleted all temporary files/cookies, disc cleanup and run the disc defrag but not seen any improvement.

any other ideas ?

Beefing up the memory can be a very cheap way of seeing a significant speed improvement, as JK will attest from the time I spent about twenty quid tarting up her iBook.
