Small things that make you happy

I've just bought a new dressing gown- it's a waffle one from the White Company and it's LOVELY. Just putting it on makes me feel like I'm a White Co catalogue dweller, surrounded by crisp linen and ordered spotlessness. Waht small things have made you happy recently?

    Clean bedsheets.

Actually getting to leave work on time (quite rare!)

    A nice hot bubble bath

My cat cuddling up in bed with us and purring loudly

Clean bedsheets, and getting into them freshly-showered.

Me and H settling down in front of the TV with a glass of wine when the kids are in bed.

My 6 month old waving his arms around in delight as soon as I walk into the room

Coming home from taking my 3yr old swimming on a Sunday morning to the smell of H cooking roast lamb or beef.

Laying in bed on winter mornings when it's dark and the rain is lashing against the window, and I'm nice and snug in bed.

Watching Master I (age 5) watching You've been framed. He laughs so much that he can't talk, it's very infectious.

I love, love, love getting into a freshly made bed having not long got out of the shower with lovely clean hair and smooth shaved legs, which must be then be swooshed around under the covers.

Getting a seat on the train.

Getting a seat on the tube.

Losing a stone, and fitting in my clothes better.

My cat greeting me at the front door everytime I come home like a dog.

I also cannot wait until a very good friend gets married next week. I'm so happy for both of them, I know I am going to cry. [fluff]
