Small venues uk (castle)

Dolli_dagger, 22 September, 2012 at 19:00 Posted on Planning 0 8

I'm searching high and low for somewhere to hire for my wedding that caters for small weddings we have 18-20 at ours. I'd love a church or something vintage looking and would be great to include accommodation? If you had a small wedding what did you do xx

I photographed a small wedding at Lympne Castle earlier this year. It was IMHO an excellent venue. The wedding room gets turned around for the later sit down and a small number of people would not be out of place. If you marry away from the weekend, they offer some excellent deals.

This is the entrance area to the castle.

Not sure where you are but I had a Google and found Lumley Castle in County Durham. They have a room that fits 16 ppl and a room for 30 ppl. The function rooms look really cool, and the castle looks like this - and it's a hotel too.

Upnor Castle (kent) and Castell Coch (Cardiff) both small castles that you can marry in but you'd have to go elsewhere for the reception

We got married at Comlongon castle - highly recommend it for a small wedding! It was quite informal, and a bit different. Food was fantastic! Everyone who stayed loved their rooms.
