I've chosen mine in Palladium as it was only £25 more than 9ct white gold (before adding diamonds). As dipping costs around £40 it's already paid for itself. Although smooch will refinish your ring for free for a lifetime for the sake of £25 I thought I might aswell go for palladium so it's just less hassle to send off and wait for it to come back, I really don't want to be without it! My ER is white gold and they will refinish that for me so I'm going to get that done a few weeks before the wedding so it's all shiny and perfect for the day Smiley smile

I paid £445 for it, with the 5 diamonds as is, but I had the option of as many or as little diamonds as I wanted.

He brought around 200 rings with him and I got it down to 7 or 8 so my mind is a bit foggy with exact numbers as I got so many quotes but I found them all reasonable. OH chose palladium too in a brushed effect, his ring is 5mm and £390 (no diamonds)

You also get free gifts just for having the appointment (you don't have to buy the rings) I got one for me and my 3 daughters as they are BM's. They each got a pearl bracelet and I chose a Tiffany style heart pendant necklace.

I was also lucky enough to get 4 stars (top prize) on the scratch card promotion they are running at the moment so got a sterling silver bracelet to match the necklace I had already chosen so now I just need earrings for my wedding day jewellery Smiley smile

Sounds like u got a good deal.

Ive always been put off at the thought that they would come to me home with the hard sell and i'd feel pressurised to buy something.

Ive ordered 2 rings from a shop that has an online ordering service, They are due this week and i get 21 days to decide if im keeping them. Ive ordered mine in palladium 2.

If they not what we thought and i send them back i might bite the bullet and arrange an appointment with smooch.

Smooch have tons of reviews all over and nearly every single one says they didn't feel pressured, and I certainly didn't. He told us the cheapest options of the rings we chose, how we could save money etc.

    Not a single complaint!

    Absolutely!

My ring in 9ct white gold and only 3 of the 5 diamonds was quoted at £315. A white gold band with no diamonds is 225, or palladium is 245 (so only 20 more, not 25 like I thought!) and diamonds are 30 each so you do still have some options with your budget!

I very nearly went for a band without diamonds and that was the flat prices above with a shedload of patterns to chose from.
