snow boots

tea and toast, 9 December, 2008 at 20:29 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 13

These completely remind me of being 6 years old and building snowmen, wearing my snow suit! But after my slippy, nasty trip to work today I really want to get a pair (secretly I like them too, shush!). Has anyone seen any nice looking ones (know they're not everyone's taste)? I need to be practical and get ones with decent grip to help if I need to walk to work (as I did today). But I also just want a nice snuggly pair to wear on cold winter days with jeans. I was thinking maybe grey but am open to suggestions. I was wondering if there's a make that's popular - you know the way quiksilver is synonymous with surfing, what make would be linked to snowboarding? But, again, any make will do!

Thanks for the help.

    Have you seen these? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Skiweb-Magic-Spiker/dp/B000YF58UI

Not snow boots, or indeed particularly fashionable but they are good on icy pavements!

Sorrel https://www.sorel.com/ do great snow boots. I've had a hardwearing pair that have seen me though 3 years of skiing most winter weekends and a prettier knee high pair that I use in the city and to work when needed.

I understand the pretty thing entirely. I have been looking for ages but as I have size 9 freak feet I gave up my search in the end! the other option is to get a pretty bag and fill it with grit and just chuck it in front of you as you walk. I have considered this too!

I have these in black https://www.office.co.uk/womens/snowjogger/quilted_snow_boot/10/4136/11225/1/ and they are very comfy and warm and great for slippy ground.
