There is - most people are staying the night (if we can get there!!). I can't afford to stay there the night before, it's very expensive plus the flowers, hairdressor, makeup lady etc is coming to my house to get me ready. Also if it's truely that bad, theres not point me being there if the registrar etc can't get there?

Thats an idea hugo put out an appeal for four wheel drive owers who could help!! when we got flooded in 2077, the local 4WD club joined together and drove people form the affected areas including me and OH (had only been together a couple of months at this point!) they drove us back into town form my parents a good 6 miles away from OH's parents. at times like this people do club together to help x

Two very strange things are happening - apart from Curlys futuristic tendencies -

    1) I've seen lighning tonight, over the hills, hugeeee flashes.

    2) Husbands selling his jeep. His jeep that can get us across ANYTHING. His jeep which is soo desp needed in this weather. 'But NOW is the time to sell it' he says...... oh how will we survive??? My old corsa and my clio are finding it all a bit rough up this neck of the woods...

a mans coming over tonight. To buy it. Perhaps. Shame it will be in pitch dark.

im getting sick of the snow now, even my doc martens are letting in water......poor fish are prolly dead in the pond too as its solid with only a wee air hole we have made (and have to keep making) and driving down our farm road took 10 mins longer than it should...... and my cat, hes cold when he comes in, how can i cuddle a cold cat???!!! sheesh.... bored now, can we have some sunshine and some steady thawing so that we dont have any flooding.?? Ta.

Just had a snowball fight in the street with the neighbours - adults against kids!

Rich very proud to have hit a kid in the side of the head with a snowball, and our neighbour (bonus points apparently cos he's a policeman!)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Hugo, hope the weather doesn't affect your day too much.

As for the white stuff, only frost & ice here in Aylesbury (no snow for 2 weeks) although its snowing in High Wycombe where I teach so there's still a chance i might not have to work tomo but I doubt I'll be that lucky! Had to go to Tescos to get a few things and the shelves were half empty despite there being no snow, people are taking this serve weather warning seriously.

    Keep the snow updates coming
