So so angry...

liz.g83, 23 October, 2010 at 08:18 Posted on Planning 0 5

Let wanted to let off some steam and also ask if anyone else was coming across rude suppliers.

I want a particular kind of car and was put in touch with a local supplier. I knew he didnt have what I wanted as I had spoken to one of his drivers at a recent wedding.

When I spoke to him he basically said he was an expert and I didnt have a clue what I was even trying to ask for. I was wrong. Now I know I am not wrong about the make of car I want as his drivers had been perfectly lovley and even suggested a few other companies I could contact. He told me to look at his website. When I informed him I already had, his reply was to be very rude and say I obviously hadn't. Why would I lie to him? What would that gain me? ?

I wonder if he would have spoken to my partner in the same way or would he too have been treated as though he was stupid.

Rant over. ?

    Hi,

Isnt it horrible when people are so rude! i would name and shame him myself!!!! if hes going to be that rude then he doesnt deserve any business, grrr

Am sorry am not much help though as we havent got that far yet! in fact - still venue hunting, although one of the venues we went to view last week, we told them we are wanting a saturday wedding in july or august 2012 and she said she would get back to us on dates she had available, then she emailed me to say they didnt have any saturday dates left only friday or sundays, i thanked and said its ok, we do want a saturday and will keep looking, now she keeps phoning trying to get me to change my mind and have the wedding on a friday!!! xx

Have you been in touch with any other suppliers about the car you want? Hope you get sorted x

I hate rude people in general and would have told him where to stick his cars. It's not nice when you think they're being patronising because you're a woman.

Forget him...he just did himself out of a customer...plus all the poeple you will tell about him.

Thats no way to run a business.

    Hi again,

I would only have to say where he is based and anyone for the local area would know who he is as they are really the most well known around here.

Someone kindly offered to help at work as sotheir family works for the transport museum so has lots of contacts.

I plan on telling everyone I know who may consider using his cars just how rude he is.

I work in Customer Service training and it makes me so mad how people think they can say what they want when actually I am willing to pay and its money that keeps them going.

I had a similar thing with a washer repair man this week! Just because you're a woman (and I hate to say it but probably also because I'm blonde) some men automatically think you are thick as two short planks. We have a built in washing machine and a hardwood floor which doesn't go under the washer cupboard so therefore there is a slight and I emphasize slight ridge for the washer to go over before being pulled out. The previous engineer I had about 12 months ago had no problem whatsoever getting it out to mend but this one...Grrr! After huffing and puffing and saying basically that built in washers are a pain to mend (not my problem I'm afraid and if your company doesn't want to mend them, then they shouldn't take my maintenance premiums!) but also that the floor would have to come up! In the middle of him tutting and shaking his head, my phone rang. When I came back which was literally two minutes, he said it needed two new parts and couldn't tell me when they would be here. Could be a week, two weeks on whenever! How did he work that out so quick without even switching it on! Anyway yesterday, they rang to say parts were here and they would come out next Tues so I told them not to bother sending him as he was bolshy and rude and I want someone who can mend it without all that negativity thank you very much! So they're sending someone else! Don't you just hate it when they do that!

    Hi Liz,

May be that guy don't know how to run the business. Infact he has to build trust from the customers. He should not be rude also with while replying.

Just leave it. Instead of trusting him, you made some other alternative.?
