So.... wedding cake, can anyone recommend someone in Newcastle?

laurenbird, 1 September, 2009 at 16:14 Posted on Planning 0

What do you think...

I have fallen in love with the idea of chocolate gooey cake with chocolate gnashe plastered all over it. 2, maybe even 3 tiers. Mmmmm. But not just any chocolate, white chocolate. Trouble is, I have no idea who would be able to make it for me!

I have asked all over tyne and wear and it seems no one supplies this. Anyone have any recommendations or ideas to overcome this? I found one supplier who could do it but they wouldnt deliver to my area as they were based in Norfolk!

Hayulp!

    Hi there

Would be happy to make the cake of your dreams but I'm about 250 miles away so probably a non-starter!

I don't know of anyone in that area - however, an online sugarcraft supplier that I use a lot will probably be able to recommend local cake makers for you. They are in the North East and very helpful so might be worth giving them a ring. They're called Design-a-Cake. Website is www.design-a-cake.co.uk and their telephone number is ****.

Otherwise, if you're getting married at a local venue is the venue able to recommend a cake maker locally? Lots of venues have a list of preferred or recommended suppliers or perhaps ask your photographer or florist. We all tend to work together locally and recommend one another.
