I support Bradford City (hometown) and Hull City (though H!) - I was going to Hull City though at Boothferry Park though so not a glory hunter - I was pretty much a failure hunter ? Its a looooooot easier to support Hull now they are doing well and have the delectable Phil Brown as coach ? I know...

And not been for more that a few seasons - although living on the south coast might count as something of an excuse.

I love football and support Sheffield United. In my youth (!) I used to go a lot to both home and away games and even had a season ticket for a while. However, I then discovered that Sheff Utd's only purpose in life was to torture their supporters so now I only support them from afar. It's much cheaper that way! ?

And Irvine Meadow - a local team.

I have been a season ticket holder at Leyton Orient for over 15 years - born and bread in the area and proud of it! there have been plenty of rubbish, frustrating and stressful times (this season being no exception - currently 3rd from bottom of league 1!) but there havde been some truely fantstic times too - well worth going through the bad times for - the last day of the **** when we won promotion away at oxford united (sending them down to the conference) in the last 3 mins of the game. i have never expereniced anything like it in my life and still makes me smile just thinking about it. Also convincingly beating fulham in the FA cup at craven cottage in the same season was another great day.

supporting a lower league club is so much fun - i just love winding up supporters of 'big' clubs who think they are going to walk all over us (leeds utd last season being a prime example (though you did beat us this week!)- sorry guys!!).

we really need to sort it out this season though!!

Man U since my brother took me watching them when George Best was playing (showing my age)

However, have a massive crush on Torres so watch Liverpool too when they're on TV (I know, I'm a cradle snatcher!)

Me too! Right from being a very tiny 3 year old who would insist dad took me when he went, well he only had girls lol.

Still haven't worked out how I ended up married to a Forest fan but it made for interesting speeches at the wedding!

Aaaah Mal, great minds think alike!!

It's Rangers for me too!! My dad got me into them, he's supported them from he was little, he used to run a supporters club in the early 80's but gave it up not long after my elder sister was born!

We both have shares & used to have season tickets, but gave them up when I moved to Northern Ireland, he gave his up cos he had no one to go with, a year later my sister met her now husband who's Rangers daft like us two. I've said to my dad to reapply for our season tickets and get the SIL to go with him, but he know's he;d be lumbered with the bill for it as my sister and her H would not be able to afford the prices!

H is a Man U fan (personally I really strongly dislike them) he's Northern Irish and his dad brought him up to support them (his dad got into them in the George Best days). I always tell H he's a glory hunter and should support a Northern Irish team like Linfield!! Though as a wedding present I got H tickets to go see Man U at Old Trafford as he's never been before. I told him to take his dad becuse he's never been either, but he said no, he wanted to share it with me!! Though he has promised me a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre after the match!! We're going next Saturday to the Hull game (GO HULL GO HULL?) though I won't be shouting it form the stands I promise!! We have to leave Belfast at 4.30am on the Saturday morning and get back into Belfast at 8.30am on the Sunday morning!! I'll be like a bag of wet lettuce by the time we get home especially as I'll be 18 weeks pregnant!! Oh well its my own fault - I just hope the coach has a loo on it for the drive to Dublin then the drive from Holyhead to Manchester and back again!!

    Luv Victoria

    xx

And I ended up married to a Sheffield Wednesday supporter!! How did that happen?!

(actually the Rams are playing Wednesday at Pride Park on our 5th wedding anniversary in November - should make for an interesting day!)

A delightfully offensive turn of phrase you have there Violet. Would you refer to Arsenal's board in the same manner, seeing as a large number of them are Jewish and have been in the past (David Dein being a prime example).

Anyway, I'm a Manc born & bred. Grew up a few miles from Old Trafford - I'm a Man Utd fan. Been there through the bad times and thoroughly enjoy the good times. I even went to watch the FA cup victory parade in 1983 in my Holy Communion dress - how I got my Grandpa to agree to that I'll never know. I have vivd memories of Gary Bailey hanging on to the cup and waving at me...I guess I stood out a bit in my white lacy dress!

Do people really use the term yid/yiddos? ?

MrsD, don't lie. I saw you in the Prescot Cables coach queue at Oliver Lyme Road on Saturday morning, complete with yellow scarf andpack lunch in your kwikkie bag. ?

Manchester United all the way (I am from and currently still live in Manchester though before anyone says anything)?

I don't get to as many games as I would like to now due to the sprog, but still try and go at least 10 times a season.
