So worried

barbsie, 14 July, 2010 at 12:56 Posted on Planning 0 6

I have my dress , just what i was looking for , a strapless simple dress...... then guess what .....i went and got chicken pox big time ! Only i could wait until mid forties to get the bl**dy virus !

I am so worried the marks the chicken pox have left on my chest and back are going to scar , i didnt pick them , but they did come off in my power shower. They look awful I am getting married on september 11th this year ...does any one have any idea how long these marks take to fade if at all?

I don't know how long they take to go on their own, but have you thought about trying something like bio-oil or Cocoa butter lotion? These are both great for scars and stretch marks. MAC cosmetics also do a body foundation which might be good for covering up any stubborn ones...

Another vote for bio oil - it's wicked! So sorry for you though - how typical is that??? Remember though they won't be obvious to anyone - but I know you don't want to feel worried about them.

Could you talk to your make up lady - if you're getting your make up doing about perhaps her covering them up too if you are worried?

    Hi

My son got awful chicken pox this time of year, he was covered from head to toe, but by the time he went back to school in September the marks had gone. Maybe try something like bio oil to help with the scarring.

    Good Luck x

I really rate this stuff over Bio Oil. Cheaper too.

I had a couple of chicken pox scars (aged 26 at the time!) and scarring to my breast after an operation - the chicken pox scars have gone and my other one is barely noticeable. Definitely worth a look!
